Moosehead Taproom — Restaurant in Saint John

I recently visited the Moosehead Small Batch Taproom and had a great experience. One of the highlights was the opportunity to drink in the midst of the pilot brewery, which added a unique and enjoyable touch to the visit. Beyond their well-known lager, they offer a variety of beer styles to cater to different preferences.

Sadly the Tmave Pivo kicked just before I arrived which was disappointing since I love Czech beers, but I was particularly impressed with their exceptional Helles Bock, which had a perfectly balanced but malty flavor profile. The staff at the taproom were pleasant and provided excellent service. Additionally, they have a selection of swag and beers available for purchase. Parking is free onsite and easy. Went with a couple buddies. It was fine, I guess? Kinda unfriendly female bartender? I don't want to be rude, but a bit smarmy? Certainly not welcoming. All three beers, same experience.

Wondered why no music in or out? Why so bright inside? We sat outside on their huge patio, which was nice, but eerily void of music...

Beer was amazing. And really why we were there! But felt strange such an iconic place felt so sterile. Alot of missed opportunities for a better customer experience, we thought.

Can't imagine sitting inside under the bonkers bright lights: akin to drinking at the Costco food court? Walmart? An interrogation? And again, no tunes...

Moosehead has a reputation with my friends as being weak beer. Here in British Columbia the local beers tend to be pungent, funky, and bold. Moosehead is hard to fit into that spectrum... My wife wanted to visit, have a beer... I was less than excited about the idea.
