Splash Thai Cuisine is like stepping into a classy establishment in Chiang Mai. The atmosphere is that of Asian elegance mixed with flair. Thai curry greats your nose as you open the door, a mix of coconut, curry, and peppers that sings a culinary crescendo and confirms, if you like Thai fare, you've come to the right place.

Table availability has yet to be an issue. Any time I've gone for an evening meal. It is typically busy but has room. There has been the odd occasion when there is a wait. It is best to call ahead for a reservation if in doubt.

The food is prepared with the care you would expect from a specialized culinary establishment, dishes present as fresh offerings and the taste reflects the appearance: fresh, well seasoned with the spice influences one expects from Thai and burma/Myanmar food.

Personally, my favorite appetizer is the Som Tam Salad, and being a spice connoisseur, i typically gravitate towards the high end of the Scoville scale for my main dish. At splash, that dish is the green curry. You know the type of food that you like so much you can just keep eating it after your stomach tells your brain that you've reached satiety. To the point of possible food induced paralysis. Splash's green curry is that dish for me. I usually get it paired with chicken.

Pricing is on par with uptown pub and steak house prices and, in some cases, lower than what one would expect for the value.

If you are new to the area, from the area and looking for a new food experience, or looking to try Thai food for the first time, then this is your safe bet.

The only complaint I have and for me it is a serious one: the food is so good I typically forget to take my pictures before...

After just having been shut down due to a failed health safety inspection, I noticed a roughly 10 inch blonde hair (my own being about 2 inches) in my mango chicken curry. This after having order a take out meal for myself and partner to enjoy entrusting that the establishment would take better care in the control of the quality of what leaves the kitchen. I was wrong. When I tried addressing this with their management, I was told there is nothing that can be done due to the time lapsed since (I kept in in my fridge as I work rotational shift work and do not have time to go on a whim at any given point). To which the lady simply turned away from me leaving me standing at the door. I made sure to alert the kind couple I held the door for to enjoy the hair in their food, smiled and went on my way. I previously very much enjoyed the atmosphere and food at splash. NOT anymore, nor will I be recommending that others try to do so. Obviously concerns aren’t taken...

Splash Thai Cuisine is one of my “go-to” places for delicious food. The atmosphere is relaxing and you never feel like you’re enjoying your meal while sitting too close to another party. There’s a good mix of booth and table/chair options, and while it’s always smart to make a reservation, we’ve always experience great hospitality when arriving without one. Date nights and celebrations are always enjoyed when at Splash, and when it’s a cold evening and you want to enjoy delicious food from the comfort of your own home without turning on the oven, Splash offers take-out! I particularly enjoy their golden curry, ordering it 90% of the time I’m there. My husband loves their Pad Thai! The staff are friendly, and it’s conveniently located on...

I’ve lived in Saint John for 11 yrs and have never been here. Went down on coronation weekend to watch with my cousin and stopped in her for take out. I chose to dine in once I saw the place. The ambiance was peaceful. The decor is fantastic. As for the food - WOW! I wanna turn back time to when I lived here to try everything on their menu. Im so disappointed that I’ve waited this long. However, I do know that I won’t ever visit Saint John again without eating here every time! I had the toasted cashews with chicken stirfry. The flavours were so complementary and delicious. I can’t say enough positive things about it. I will say though I should be going to Saint John next week, the servers here will see me again.

The restaurant was clean and the ambiance is nice. The food was great. Would have given 5 stars if it wasn’t for the fact that they do not have a Caesar salad (the most common salad for a sit down restaurant with a steak dinner, which I had) and for the fact that the waiter came and tried to take away our appetizers before we were finished. He seemed either new and inexperienced or socially awkward. The tables are very close together and it was hard to have a private conversation. Service brings the mark down but, I would recommend to anyone to try Splash. Huge portions and very good Thai food.
