Bistro Moe's — Restaurant in Saint-Sauveur

The four of us went there because we were craving steak. After waiting at least 45 min after receiving our appetizers we ordered our mains, the waitress comes back after 20min to tell us that the filet mignon and flank steak that they had none left. So reluctantly we had to order something else so one ordered the tortellini and the other short ribs. 🙄 Another ordered a poutine to go with his smoked meat. The poutine was not good and drenched with terrible gravy. The tortellini was not well cooked and tasted like cardboard. We all tried each others food to see if it was just our imagination. I have to say that 2 of us were satisfied with our food while the other two well essentially filled up on appetizers. The reason I give this 2 stars is because they succeeded in only feeding 1/2 of our party and the waitress seemed to hate her job. She was rude, unprofessional and lied to us. We naturally sent the poutine back and the tortellini. Than what I can only assume as the manager or assistant manager was somehow made aware of our dissatisfaction so he came to us and asked if he can offer us shots or a discount due to out dissatisfaction with the service. Since we had a long drive back to Montreal planned we agreed to the discount (15%) off the bill. He failed to tell us or the waitress tried to trick us I am not sure that he would still be charging us with the poutine which renders the 15% pointless as we are still paying for a portion of the meal we sent back. Then she tried to play us for a fool saying that we still got a discount. So naturally we waited until she left calculated and saw that in fact we were paying the same and no discount was given. When she came back we asked to see manager, frustrated in anger she went back and fixed the receipt without even speaking to the manager. Classic example how 1 employee can mess up ratings of the restaurant. I suggest that waitress finds another job instead of ruining people's experience so that she can get a bigger tip. FYI we still tipped her and the person who got the terrible poutine gave her a big tip because he felt bad.... even though he had no reason to feel bad. The cook and waitress were both off their game... granted it was a Sunday night......

After a read of reviews here in Google, we decided to make this our dinner place to rest. We are so glad we did. They descriptions on the menu only just begin to do the food justice. Magnificent and delicious food, friendly and attentive staff (thanks Melani!) and the highest recommendation I can give to try this place. For starters, their onion soup au gratin it's one of the best onion soups I have ever had. Both the Caesar salad and daily salad were so tasty and they did not scrimp on the dressing. Portion size was insane. The braised beef short rib and 16oz rib steak with accompanying sides were prepared perfectly and tasted magnificent. We couldn't finish our meals and brought what was left back to our hotel room for the next day. Dessert, red velvet cake was perfectly portioned and a delight to end the evening off with. Need I go on? If you're in the area, please give this place a visit! You will definitely...

I usually go to the ones in Montreal and they are excellent. I was at this one last year and it was also excellent. Today I came back I I was totally dissatisfied with my meal and service.

I've been to busier places and we get service faster. The service was slow, the soup came lukewarm... The braised beef was full of fat chunks and stuff that you don't eat. It's usually my favorite dish there but it wasn't very good this time. I only ate it because I was starving after a day of snowboarding.

Then the bill came and it took for ever to simply have the waitress come back with the payment machine so we could go on about our evening. Very dissatisfied with my experience today. The meat quality left me feeling a bit nauseated after. I shouldn't...
