The food was good and the burgers freshly made (fries rather cold though), but the atmosphere was definitely a little off. Went in at about 7pm on a summer Sunday and the place was nearly empty--I guess I've figured out why.
The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the row of full (but, thankfully, closed) garbage bags placed right in front of the counter and directly next to the customers' path to the cash. After getting our order, we walked around the empty restaurant trying to find a clean table, which took awhile. Crumbs and food everywhere and the place wasn't busy at all. How long do they wait to clean tables here? I'm glad I didn't have to use the bathroom during my visit, if they can't even wipe down a table after customers leave.
The second thing that put me off was the immature behaviour of the staff. Apparently, there was some kind of mess at a booth near ours (given that I was in the middle of eating, I didn't make an effort to find out the details), and, instead of cleaning it, three different employees went over, pointed, and made comments about it before one employee finally grabbed a bottle of cleaning fluid to take care of whatever it was. Afterwards, on my way out, I noticed one of the male employees leaning up against a table with what seemed to be his girlfriend (I hope), chatting away right in front of customers and in the way of the exit and trash can. Maybe he was on his break, but he might've sat down with his friend rather than blocking customers' access to the trash can and door.
The final thing that soured our visit was the fact that, to our disbelief, whoever was in control of the radio playing over the restaurant's speakers had decided to leave it tuned to Christian rock. It's all well and good that the owner/employees enjoy(s) that kind of music, but it's rather uncomfortable for a secular clientele to try to enjoy their Whoppers while being musically reminded to "Worship His holy name." You wouldn't play death metal in a Burger King because it might offend families, so why play Christian music that might also make people uncomfortable?
All in all, even though the food was pretty good, this restaurant seemed dirty, unprofessionally staffed, and just generally empty and unwelcoming at a regular dinner hour on a weekend. I'll definitely think about it before going back, especially considering that its location makes it a bit of a drive...

Read moreI go there about once a month but today (sept. 25 - 2021) was THE worst time ! Waited at the drive-thru 20 minutes, by the time i got to the cashier, i had grey hair (wich i don't normally have), the cashier didn't bother to explain or apologize for the long wait and finally she stuffed the napkins onto the fries ! I had a long wait so i had time to really have a good lookaround the place and noticed at every light on the restaurant's exterior that it looked like a 1970's affro haircut but with spider webs ! I could see from far away those spiders so they were about the same size as olives ! Is it that much of an effort to take a broom and take those spider webs out at least once a week ? Anyways, today that restaurant didn't belong in the "Fast...
