Makisu — Restaurant in Sainte-Thérèse

We ordered some take out, when we got to the restaurant to pick up our order at the time that they had given us, it was just sitting on the counter. Who knows how long it had been there? After the 5 minutes car ride back home, we opened our meals with were no longer warm. This would have been tolerable, but the 12.50$ tempura shrimp appetizer that we ordered was wet with grease, soggy and cold. When we reached out to the restaurant, we were met by an extremely rude woman. She raised her voice and refused to do anything to help improve our experience. She told us that she could not do anything for us since they paid for the shrimp and it was too bad for us since we ordered the tempura shrimp as take out. She said that it always becomes wet when taken to go. Unfortunately, this information was not disclosed to us when she took our order over the phone. My husband and I used to love this restaurant, but such bad food quality and the terrible customer service was a real turn off for us. We will definitely avoid Makisu...

My husband and I ordered take out on the internet. The order couldn't go through so we called and ordered our meal. Unfortunately, they told us they could not make any sushi. So, we changed our order. We were told to pick up our order at a specific time, which we did. When I walked in, the order was sitting on the counter. We took it home, 5 minutes drive away. We were extremely disappointed with the quality of the food, the portions were smaller than when eating at the restaurant. The food was cold and soggy. We called the restaurant to let them know and they simply told us that it was our problem and that it's what happens with take out. We were so disappointed with the rude response we received and lack of customer service. We normally are loyal customers, but promised ourselves to never go back because of this...

EDIT AUGUST 12th 2020 : They have given smaller portions and less good quality food in the last 5-6 orders I've made on skip the dishes. I complained on the app and also called directly the restaurant. Hopefully they change back to how they were before.

ORIGINAL POST : Literally everything I've tried at this place was excellent!!! My go-to place for Asian food, any occasion, either delivery or eating out. They have a big selection of sushi as well! Their service is great. The staff always greets people with a nice welcoming smile. The presentation of the meals is really nice! Even when I do take-out, they'll make sure to add some decoration in the box. I love this place. Would recommend to anyone. Totally worth coming here from...
