It was going to be a 5 star review at first- the service was great and the food was delicious- but after killing 5 bugs that were somehow infesting the restaurant in the dead of winter; having two groups of people seated directly on either side of us in an otherwise empty restaurant- one of which constantly slammed himself against the booth, creating a huge annoyance- and being unable to even touch my main course before another bug landed on it, I can only give one star.
This was supposed to be my birthday celebration meal and I was unable to bear staying long enough to get cake. This restaurant also held a special importance as being the very first place I ate out at with my current partner, almost 6 years ago. I almost wish I didn’t come back so it could have remained in my memory as it was.
My advice to the restaurant staff is to put up fly tape or otherwise solve the pest problem. It should not be difficult in winter, especially to the point that customers leave before eating just so they can avoid being swarmed.
Overall the food is good but I don’t have faith in the cleanliness of the restaurant. I don’t think I can accurately express how disappointed I am right now. I won’t be coming back.
Edited to add: After speaking over the experience with my partner, I was informed that one group which originally wanted to be seated at a table was instead forced into the booth behind us. They requested a table at ground level because one of them used a mobility aid and was unable to step up to the booth. This patron was told by servers that they would simply help them up and back down when necessary. Unbelievable. My partner uses a cane and we are both active in disability advocacy. To the servers who made this call, you should feel ashamed. Imagine how uncomfortable you would feel if you were in that person’s shoes, denied an accomodation so simple that it boggles the mind as to why this happened in the first place, and instead forced to rely on complete strangers to aid your mobility instead. Just because they were determined to seat all customers in a row for some unknown reason. Shame...

Highlights of our brunch experience: There is a severe lack of parking. Even when the restaurant is nowhere near full, they are out of parking. A relative was aggressively ticketed by police for parking nearby. The waitress forgot to make my order to the kitchen after everyone at the table had already been served. The waitress forgot to ask several members in our party what meat they wanted or how they wanted eggs, so random choices were made. Parts of the menu says “all our plates are served with fruits and coffee”. However, after receiving my plate very late, no fruit was given. I pointed this out and the waitress said sometimes the kitchen decides not to give the fruit. What? Sometimes customers don’t get what they paid for? The fruit they gave my plate and others were all the cheap kind: green melon, cantaloupe and pineapple. Do not order waffles here. It’s very expensive for what they give you - a smaller waffle than competitors - and comes with absolutely nothing else. There are no coffee carafes, so expect to need to flag down waitresses after your cup has already been empty. There is also no candy near the door as in all other breakfast restaurants.
Overall a very disappointing experience. The food was just okay and overpriced for what you get. There are much better local options for breakfast...
Read moreWe visited on a Thursday around 630pm, with my family of 4. We were quickly shown to a table and after scanning the menus for about 5 minutes the waitress came over asking we'd like some water, sure. Another 5 minutes passed and we placed our orders, 2 kids meals, a burger and a poutine. The initial wait for our service wasn't terrible and receiving the food wasn't bad. I commented to my husband that this place was great and we should come here more often. This is where the good part of this review stops.
We started to cut up the nuggets into pieces for my toddler and the chicken was not cooked and oozing liquid, the middle was clearly not cooked. The waitress never came over and asked how our meal was, after 10 minutes we had to waive her over and show her the food in which she agreed it was under cooked and she would get more.
She brought the second re-do of the order, never came back to ask us how it was... just disappeared. We finally we're getting ready to get our bill, 15 minutes later and still no sign of her.
I asked the hostess if I could she could give me my bill and she said no, i'd have to wait for the waitress. So we waited, another 10 minutes, with our coats on.. finally the hostess went back to advise the waitress we were waiting.
Between the crappy food and the sub par service. I...
