Amir — Restaurant in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield

I've been going to this Amir for a number of years now and after eating I always say I need to leave a review. When we eat out we don't eat at all the burger joints and instead eat what we believe to be the healthiest type of fast food and Lebanese food is it. We have eaten at so many Lebanese restaurants over the years and were so happy to find one in Valleyfield when we moved here five years ago. My experience in life is this. Whenever you find a restaurant that if family owned and run, chances are it's going to be good. Well, this restaurant is all that. In fact, they care very much about the food and service they provide. I looked at some of the prior reviews they have received and there were a few bad ones that make no sense to me. My experience is always the same. A more than generous amount of fresh food with a smile. They always have a adequate amount of staff so, the line moves quickly if there is one. Went to grab takeout. Worst Amir restaurant I've been too. Their prices are higher than other restaurants in the chain. Service was slow despite there easily being 5-7 employees at the restaurant all goofing around in the kitchen. Every Amir restaurant I go to, they give you huge scoops of hummus or garlic sauce and will gladly give you both in your plate. Here they were tiny pre-prepared portions in little plastic containers and if you wanted two sauces you had to pay extra. The staff were not in a rush to serve us at all. We had to wait for the food, literally having to sit down and wait despite there being nobody else in the restaurant. The rice didn't taste fresh. Really would avoid this location in the future. They obviously do not follow the norms and standards of the rest...

I love this place for a fresh and tasty lunch. I know Amir is a chain, but this location is one of the best. It is always very clean and neat and the staff are extremely friendly and pleasant, as well as very efficient. They know their product and compile orders is a fast but thorough manner. Want an extra dab of this or an extra piece of that. No problem. Inside dining at about twenty tables. Level entry would accommodate a wheelchair. Washroom always clean. I find the prices reasonable given 2024 pricing. Filling and tasty food at a reasonable price....
