Both my wife and I were first timers at this lovely restaurant. Upon arriving at their entrance, after having walked through the accompanying Irving Gas station's store front, we were quickly greeted by their hostess. She politely walked us to our table set up in a nice clean booth. Another staff member came by, welcoming us, and placed our dining utensils at our table. Shortly after, our waitress introduced herself and took our beverage order. We both enjoyed our coffees brought to the table whereupon we both placed our dinner orders. We had brought dining coupons with us (how we found out about the restaurant which is only an 18 minute drive from our home). Our waitress, Lisa, let us know the specials were not covered by our coupons. We were informed however, that is we ordered the turkey instead of chicken it would be covered using the coupons. My wife, Pat, noticed that hamburger was also covered in the coupons so she ordered the burger platter while I ordered the turkey platter. Lisa let us know that would save us $7 which was extremely good of her and cherished the fact that our waitress went out of her way to help us. Since a normal serving of fries is too much for either of us we ordered one plate with fries and the other with Cesar salad (just under an additional $2). Once our plates arrived, Lisa let us know she had the salad placed on a separate plate since we had informed her that we'd be splitting the fries and salad. Her good sense made it much easier for us to split up the two items between us. Both my wife and I completely enjoyed our meals. We appreciated the efficiency of receiving our meals and the fact Lisa came by to check on us and also supply us with another cup of coffee once we were almost completed our first cup. Each hot, gravy covered sandwich came with carrots and coleslaw. Both of us enjoyed everything. Pat so enjoyed the coleslaw that she ate it's entirety first. Washrooms on premises were top notch. We look forward to coming back to this fine restaurant in the months and years ahead. Top stars for a great evening dinner and my wife appreciated the fact she had leftovers to enjoy later in...
Read moreVery poor service and being racist. How one expert to eat soup, salad and main course served all together and eat. So rude no utensils or water. Had to ask twice for utensil and keep raising hand for water. Don’t know if was racist as table across got soup first and then food later where I was served soup salad and main course all at same time. When asked to bring separate main course from soup n salad then put that under hot lamp and served later. So paying $43.08 for some place that serve all 3 courses meal at same time n won’t bother giving u water or any service with cherry to top as being racist. Thanks for meal won’t stop again and will take $43 for single person meal somewhere else who not racist and knows how to server 3 course meal on other hand big Irving at Lincoln is way better to...
Read moreI ordered 2 eggs over easy , bacon and home fries. My daughter had the egg and bacon option off the kids menu , and my dad had the French toast. We got seated right away. Once breakfast came our waitress said she would be back with coffee ( never returned... ) and never saw anyone else we could flag down. It wasn't overly busy when we were there. My daughter for the first time ever really enjoyed the hashbrowns ! She usually doesn't like potatoes so I was surprised when she ate them all . I wasn't a huge fan of the toast... and the French toast was a bit under cooked , and wasn't well enjoyed . I would be back again but we would never get the French...
