Fantastic Dining Experience at WAGG'S STEAK & SEAFOOD!

I recently had a wonderful meal at WAGG'S STEAK & SEAFOOD RESTAURANT on Christina Street in Sarnia, and I can't wait to share my positive experience! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The dining space is nicely laid out with plenty of room, ensuring a comfortable and relaxed meal.

The food itself was truly outstanding. I started with the Coconut Shrimp appetizer, which was perfectly crispy and flavorful. For my main course, I opted for the Regular Cut steak, cooked exactly to my liking – tender and juicy. I also sampled the Crab Stuffed Mushrooms, which were rich and delicious. My companion enjoyed the Adult Chicken Fingers, which were a satisfying and elevated take on a classic.

To complement our meal, I enjoyed a smooth 6oz glass of Santa Carolina Merlot, and we also had a large pop. The food serving sizes were generous, and the presentation was great. It was a truly good Canadian food experience, showcasing quality ingredients and skillful preparation.

I’m leaving this review for the hospitality and service of this place. We drove all the way from Chatham after finding this place on Google maps to celebrate my cousin’s 50th birthday. We were aware they closed at 8pm but we arrived at 7:47pm. One of the hostesses came out and greeted us and asked what we wanted to do whether dine in or order to take out. We stated we preferred to dine in but what they didn’t realize was that we would have ordered take out. Before she could respond, another lady came out from the back and began yelling at her in front of us stating that the kitchen was closed and everything was off. If we choose to stay to dine in, it would be for drinks only. So if you are wanting to choose to eat at this place, make sure you come before 730pm because they stop serving patrons and apparently start closing their kitchen down at that time and not at 8pm like their hours state. They should change their hours of service. I have never experienced people who didn’t want to work and turn down money, in my life the way I just seen. After the pandemic, this attitude grew rapidly along with respectable customer service because this woman who had brown hair and was thin build, was VERY RUDE! Such a shame because we really wanted to try the good food that we seen online. And I knew that woman was lying saying the kitchen was down and she just didn’t want to serve us.
