August 2023 Been a year since my last visit to Popeyes Sarnia. Original review left below. Arrived around 3:30pm on a Thursday, placed my taje out order, but they did not have enough chicken to complete my 12 piece dinner. Said it be 15 minutes before more chicken would be up. Going to last year's 45 minute wait, I asked if there were any other options? I was offerred the 8 pieces of spicy chicken they had on hand and 4 chicken strips. I still waited 10 to 12 minutes when I got to the window for the order to be prepped. When I got home about 6 or 7 minutes later found that I ended up with stale chicken that must have sat for awhile, as it was cool. I received 4 drumsticks, 2 chicken wings, 1 thigh and 1 breast, plus the 4 strips Fries were cool as well. Rings were hot, so that must have been what held up my order as they were being cooked. There will be no future reviews from me for this location unless there is an ownership change. I can spend that money at other restaurants who produce quality food and availability is not an issue.
July 2022 From time of arrival in drive through to order being received was over 45 minutes. Had difficulty placing order due to wind and/or microphone. When arrived at window after 10 to 15 minutes advised that they had to Cook fresh batch of chicken. When order finally received, chicken was hot, onion rings still warm but fries had cooled. No apology from staff when order delivered to car. Sad, as I was a big Popeyes fan, having enjoyed it in other Ontario locations before it came to Sarnia. Very apologetic and sincere. he went way beyond and out of his way to make sure my second experience with popeyes was enjoyable. I received excellent tasting food and a few other items i did not ask for which were excellent. Im so happy with the quick customer service response of this restaurant. The manager personally delivered the food himself to me. I never would have thought a fast food place would do this. I take back my negative review and will order again. Thank you so much Mounir. I very much appreciate it.
NEVER order from this place. last night i ordered Popeyes for the first time, excited to try it. I was very disappointed in the food quality and customer service. I will never order again. i ordered 5 piece box with fries. When it arrived, I got a little note that said: sorry running out of fries just putting large mac & cheese instead of fries. I was irate as the store did not bother to contact me to let me know they are substituting without my consent. I am lactose intolerant so i couldn't eat the side dish. If I had been contacted first, I would have cancelled my order. What makes the employee think they can just give me something else of their choice? Read moreExtremely frustrating experience. I walked into the restaurant with the official Popeyes app, expecting to use one of the advertised specials—only to be told it can’t be redeemed in person. Instead, I was forced to stand there, pull out my phone, place the order online, and then wait in the same spot like I hadn’t already made contact with the staff.
I’m not the only one having this issue—there are tons of reviews online saying the same thing. People are regularly told their app offers don’t work at certain locations, or worse, they place the order and find out after a long wait that the location can’t even fulfill it. Why offer app-exclusive deals if you can't support them properly in-store?
