Came in about a month ago with a group of 10 friends. When we arrived there was about 6 skip drivers waiting hastily for their delivery orders and were waiting a long time.we got told there is a 45 minute wait on food. We got seated. Server was great and friendly. Drinks were good but the food was not good at all. We all ordered at the same time. But the food came out like in 30 minute intervals. The guy next to me is literally a chef at another restaurant and he ordered a chicken sandwich. Took an hour and a half to come out. We timed it…… he didn’t pay obviously. One person send back nachos because they were burnt and over cooked like cardboard. Just to wait 30 minutes for another plate that was even more burnt… we chatted with the owner before the food arrived and he was nice. But when he left the restaurant everything went down hill and the thing was there was like maybe 2 other tables besides us in the restaurant. So no excuses. When we talked to the manager, He was acting like asking for a free meal after waiting an hour and a half for it was a sin. He was acting like it was coming off his paycheck and giving us a hard time about it…. You want to have people come in order food that takes 10 minutes tops to make. Have the people wait an hour an a half… Then they and charge them for it after ? Then give them attitude about it too? I’m sure this was just a bad night for the restaurant/manager as I’m not a regular. But hey manager don’t act smug. You won’t get a bad review. I mainly leave good reviews for restaurants when it’s deserving. But this one I had to leave mainly due to the managers shitty attitude towards our legitimate concerns that shouldn’t happen in the...
Read moreThe food here is generally good. However, today, we ordered fish and chips, and the fish was dry.
My two-star review is not about today's food; it's about the service. This is the second time the staff has been rude to us.
The first incident was when we tried to open one of their umbrellas. We were told that they couldn't be opened because it was windy. It wasn't windy, but that's beside the point. It was the way the server spoke to us.
Today, we had our chihuahua sleeping on one of their chairs, on top of her blanket, as we've done on other occasions without anyone saying anything about it. We were in the process of paying the bill when a man in a blue shirt came from inside, looked at my mom, and asked, 'Do you have an animal inside the crate?' I told him she was sleeping on the chair. He then informed us that animals cannot stay on furniture due to health regulations and that we had to put her on the floor.
Again, it's not about the message; it's about the tone. I completely understand that if the restaurant isn't in compliance with sanitary regulations, it could cause them significant problems. However, I don't work in restaurants or for the health authority, so I don't know the details about health regulations. What I would expect in a situation like that is for one of the staff members to politely explain the situation. In that case, I would be the one apologizing, and all would be well. However, there was no 'excuse' or 'sorry' or anything else I would expect from a manager dealing with customers. The way he conveyed the message was rude and disrespectful. I cannot accept having myself or someone from my family being treated like that, so we won't be returning to Browns...
Read moreWent out to celebrate; we where seated and it took a while for our waitress to come see us. That’s ok, maybe there was some confusion, we where understanding. It went downhill from there. When she came to take our order, she didn’t have a notepad and didn’t repeat it back to us. It took 20 mins for appetizers which is alright, but it took us like 5 mins to eat those and another 50 mins for our mains. One of our orders was wrong, and the waitress who brought them out acted like we where the BIGGEST pieces of shit for saying it was wrong. The waitress who also brought us food ended up sitting at the bar and was shooting us glares the entire time we ate. The other order you could tell had been left under the warmers for a while. Spilled au jus had dried/almost been baked onto the plate, the bun was super soggy where it had spilled, the cheese had been melted but now had a skin and was rubbery, and the gravy had a thick skin on it. Nobody really came to check on us, and it even took a while to get the bill after our plates where cleared. Spent almost 1.5 hours there due to wait times, and it wasn’t busy either so I have no idea what was going on. Very unfortunate as our waitress did seem really nice. Can fully admit that our experience wouldn’t have mattered to us/we would have brushed it off and wouldn’t have warranted a review if not for the waitress who brought out our food. (Just for clarification, there was 2 different waitresses; the one who attended us throughout our meal and a different one who brought out the food and proceeded to shoot us...
