New York Fries Lawson Heights — Restaurant in Saskatoon

Inflation has not been a stranger to this place. I had the "snack size" veggie fries with a fountain pop and it cost more than $10 ($2.50 alone for the fountain pop, and there is no choice in size anymore).

The people working there seemed rushed and stressed out, and the resulting service was very slow. It's extremely frustrating to watch the crew making up two huge orders for Skip the Dishes before attending to the customers literally standing there waiting for their own food... which I imagine is what caused the employees stress.

It's also equally frustrating to watch ONE employee using ONE fry vat when there are four to be used, and about 6 baskets of fries above those vats ready to be put down. It's equally frustrating to observe an older gentleman (an employee? the manager?) standing in the back wearing one of your uniforms and staring at this one person working very hard. Perhaps the only reason he finally pitched in to help and began putting down more baskets into the vats was because we were looking very pointedly at him standing there...with his bare feet in flip flops...while working with hot oil and greasy floors, which I'm sure OHAS would love to see.

The food was great because we literally had to wait through two baskets of fries cooking to get anything, so it took almost ten minutes to get our snacks. At least they were fresh! Meanwhile, only one of the Skip guys showed up to pick up an order just as we were finally getting our fresh fries (so, about ten minutes after it had been made and was sitting inside a closed bag), and someone grabbed the other bag and took it to the back...presumably because it had been sitting too long or the order was cancelled.

Fyi fast food restaurants: please figure out a better system for accommodating STDs that doesn't look like you're ignoring your in-person customers in favor of them! This is becoming quite rampant in fast food restaurants, and nobody (except maybe the Skip guys) likes it! I'm sure the receiving customers weren't happy about getting something that had been sitting there for about ten...

This is definetly the best New York Fries in Saskatoon. The owners are some of the kindest and hard working people and always make great convers ation. They care about their business and are always cleaning their store. They have great customer service and seem to treat their employees very well. I love how friendly they are and its never a problem to make my fries extra crispy,...

I was craving a hotdog so bad and was disappointed with theirs. Had no flavor, and not even a bunch of toppings made it better. Naturally I got some fries but a disappointment again.
