Like all bars it's noisy and depressing. Great place to go if you are an alcoholic with a VLT gambling addiction and all day to waste. Otherwise, not so much. The menu is a mess, looks like it was made by a high school art class reject. Not unreadable but looking at it made me not want to read it. So what is the food like? I had the chicken wings, they were dry and overcooked. The sauce on the wings was good and they were cheap but that's all the nice things I can say about them. Over on the not-a-bar side if the Coachman it's... quieter but much the same. But really, if you want a sit-down meal and your not in the mood for the food court then give this place a miss and go down to Smitty's at the other end of the mall. Seriously, I don't know why anyone eats at the Coachman. EDIT: Reply If you want to see the problem with the menu then go do a side-by-side comparison with another family restaurant's menu like what they have at The Cave, Gibson's, Smitty's and Grainfields. You'll see what I mean in a flash. The problem isn't so much what's on the menu, it's how the menu is designed; the layout is poor and the seeming random clip art on the pages is distracting to the eye. You would do well to have a professional graphics designer redo it. Perhaps I was a little hard on the ambiance in the restaurant part of the review. The decor is not so bad, it's just that I did not get a strong "welcome" message from the decor. That is, the first thing I saw when I walked in did not scream "welcome" to me. Again, if you want to know why then go walk into one of your competitors and note the first thing you see when you walk in. Remember, you don't get a second chance to make a first impression. At other places the first point of contact that the customer has walking in is a host-hostess/manager/etc or their station/counter/desk/etc, or at least a sign saying "wait to be seated." That kind of thing is saying "welcome, we're happy to serve you" so if that is the first thing the customer sees the first message their mind associates with their experience is "I am comfortable here." While some of the elements I just described elements are present in your establishment the crucial difference is that they are NOT what first caught my eye when I walked in. Remember what I said about first impressions and second chances? Well, you missed your chance to have my first impression of your place to be "welcome" and you can't get a second chance at that. So that's what is wrong with the restaurant section. What's the first thing I see when I walk into the bar? Is there a host there? No. Host station? No. Is there anything at all that says "welcome" to me? Not so much. So what does immediately catch my eye? I see a bar off in the distance and a bunch of VLTs to my right. Now while that does scream "BAR" to my brain, it does not say "welcome." Now, perhaps you thought that a host/hostess station was too formal and would put off your clientele. If that's why the layout is the way it is then that's perfectly reasonable, I don't blame you for going with that decision but you still need something to turn first impressions from what i saw into something more welcoming. But hey, you're smart, you'll come up with something for sure....
Read moreMy cousins and I have been coming here once a month for a little over a year now, keeping a family breakfast tradition alive that we almost lost over covid. The staff always remembers us, knows to leave us a carafe of coffee for us caffeine fiends, and are amazing and tolerant of our chaos and loud personalities. The breakfast special and a coffee are so affordable in these times where going out to eat feels like you have to take out a small loan and the food is consistently good every single time we go. We love that we found a spot that's local to continue our brekkie tradition that our older generations...
Read moreGross.🌟⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had mozza mushroom burger and onion rings. The burger was alright but the onion rings had a weird coating and I suspect old oil for deep frying. My wife got dry ribs, fries and gravy. Dry ribs are pre-made from prairie meats but again in gross oil. Technically minced pork bites. Fries pre frozen crinkle cut with bland gravy. We both had the runs when we got home. My mom got fettuccine and didn't complain. She liked the garlic toast. Staff seemed phony nice. If you go to market mall I recommend the greek house 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. Greek house has good food, cheap prices and...
