Was terribly disappointed by the food and more importantly lack of customer service and care at the Preston location. I Did not like the food I got as it was bland to the point the sauce had no colour even or flavour,it was like thickened fat, and had not typical additions to it that were not advertised anywhere which could’ve been fixed relatively easily had they advertised it. But when I ate barely 4 bites of the food and didn’t like it because of the additions and lack of any taste the server took it and threw it out as I said it wasn’t even worth taking home to me. Although my thought was they’d try to rectify the situation somewhat, for example remake it without the soggy bean sprouts and better sauce but nope that didn’t happen. they didn’t even offer me a menu to look at in case I wanted something different, the server just took the plate and left without a word and sat back down at a table. When we went to pay we asked if they’d comp it at all since you couldn’t even tell I had eaten any and was told by the server I was in the wrong for not mentioning that I didn’t like soggy bean sprouts in something that usually doesn’t even have ANY bean sprouts (or at least not at any other Asian restaurant I’ve ever been to anywhere). And that I had to pay full price for something I didn’t even eat and I quote her “because someone has to pay for the food” so she wouldn’t even comp a bit off the only dish I ordered to try to get a returning customer so that’s a bad sign. Oh yeah the server did say she couldn’t wait for a review so here you go 🤷♀️
TLDR: bad service, Left in tears, didn’t eat and still paid full price 0/10 would NOT recommend unless you want to not even be offered food or even a menu after you didn’t like what you got. Left in tears, hungry and feeling stolen from. You’re better off spending your money elsewhere.
Edit: have since found out this terrible server is the co-owner. Oof never going to support them again. The restaurant was empty at peak dinner so it seems their rudeness might...
Read moreI visited this restaurant on Wednesday around noon with a group of six friends to celebrate. We were looking forward to getting some noodle bowls, but the experience was nothing short of appalling and horrific.
The food itself was mediocre, but the service was beyond unacceptable. Shortly after we received our meals, I went to the front counter to politely ask for fish sauce and chopsticks, and went back to my table. A few minutes later, a friend asked me to get one more fish sauce, so I went back to the counter. The server, who was sitting on his phone, responded in an unnecessarily rude tone, saying “I might be adding a 20% surcharge.” It was a strange comment, but I let it slide and returned to our table.
When the server brought the fish sauce to our table, one of my friends politely asked for clarification about the so-called surcharge. His shocking response was “I am your server, not your slave". I absolutely could not believe what I had just heard.
This kind of language and treatment is absolutely appalling and unacceptable in any setting, let alone a service industry. To make matters worse, the restaurant was nearly empty, with only 1 other table. Despite that, this server seemed incapable of managing basic customer service. He continued to berate us, calling us “quite rude" despite the fact that we had been nothing but polite. His attitude, behavior, tone and language is completely unprofessional. We were all so uncomfortable that we lost our appetite and wanted to get out of there quickly
This experience was extremely disappointing and the restaurant and server should be ashamed. I hope the restaurant addresses this behavior because that was completely uncalled for and unacceptable. But rest assured, my friends and I will never return. Read moreThis is my second negative experience out of four times we have tried food from there (two take out times, two dine ins) We ordered take out. Arrived and food was ready but staff noticed that the one item was wrong, so I waited in my car. Got home and the corrected order was right, however the other two orders wrong. Called the restaurant and staff denied I ordered what I did, they became very defensive and did not let me get too many words in, so I hung up frustrated. Husband called and communication was very challenging. Again, the staff member was talking over my husband, didn’t give him many chances to speak and then when he did, he would interrupt him. He told my husband that I was a liar, and that I had hung up on him (I did hang up on him, which is disrespectful,yes, but I did out of frustration). My husband then ended up swearing out of frustration, which was our bad- we will admit that. The staff member finally offered us a refund if we returned the food untouched. Unfortunately I had eaten one roll (it was the correct item I had ordered, I just ended up with too many) so I ate it, as I was super hungry. So we said we had eaten that item and we would still pay for that (we did not expect a refund for anything we had eaten). He then refused. All in all a terribly disrespectful experience. The cold roll I had was good. My husband said his curry was on par with other places.
Like I said this was my second bad experience with this restaurant getting take out.
