Review This was my first ever time eating at any Dennys as far as I know. It was a rainy evening as I waited for my overnight flight reschedule and decided to visit this place since it was open 24 hr and close to my hotel spot. Upon entry, I was greeted and seated and given some iced water, while I browsed the expansive menu looking for something to eat for dinner. I settled on the Turkey dinner over savory stuffing with Mash potatoes and vegetables medley, served with turkey gravy and some cranberry stuff. Would've also got the soup but they ran out of chicken noodle soup. The service was prompt and courteous, and after a pretty lengthy wait for the food, which I didn't didn't at all, the waitress even brought some complementary garlic bread (at least I think it was free, I don't recall seeing it as part of the meal order, and I definetly wasn't charged for it.) The food itself was sensational. Perhaps it was because I walked over 20K steps that day, or perhaps it was the late hour and rainy chilly weather, but the turkey was moist and seasoned, (ik it looks dry but the taste was not dry) the stuffing fine, and the mashed potatoes and vegetables all exceeded expectation. Overall, I'd give the food a solid 7.5/10 (keep in mind that I consider any food 5/10 or above to be "tasty") and definetly enough for me to recommend coming here, even if you didn't walk 15 kilometers and just want a nice meal outside.

Service was standard, the spaces reasonably clean (pepper shaker was 100% plugged showing a lack of regular attn), but the food... our reason for being there was disappointing. Got the wrong hashbrowns, when it was fixed my eggs (basted easy) were now hard. Better yet, the area once covered in hash now had a very sparse sprinkling of cubed hash that I had actually ordered. I had to order another side of hash to make it remotely like the portion presented in your menu. The pancake batter mix had been expanded with so much water they crumbled rather than cut. (5+ years in a professional kitchen here, someone is over diluting their mix). My dining partner was treated to a skillet ($20) that was very low on any sausage, and burnt to a bitter, crunchy and unenticing mess that he could only eat 1/3rd of before the flavour of char made it impossible to eat more. (Top side looked ok, had been left for the bottom to burn). Overall the dxperience was negative enough to set you solidly at the bottom of my list when chosing a breakfast location. I am disappointed what your kitchen thought reasonable food looks like. If they would not be willing to eat it, perhaps it should not leave your line and land on a table?!

Myself and a friend decided to go to Denny’s for a late lunch after going out the night prior before we ended our girls weekend. When we first arrived it was busy as we expected given that it was the end of the weekend. Right away we both got a bad vibe from a few of the employees like they were almost thinking “oh great more people.” When we were asked how many people we said just for 2 and one of the employees had to look to see if any tables were available which we were totally okay with given how busy it was. When we were finally seated we were advised she would get our server for us. Our server was Ruby, she came and took our drink order and was very quick to give us our drinks and we weren’t quite ready to order yet so she gave us a couple extra minutes. She came back and took our orders. We started off with a starter to share which was absolutely amazing and will definitely order that starter again. Things were going okay until we got our food which was also amazing but the service from our server went downhill from there. My friend was done her drink before we received our meals and was not offered a refill or anything that we had to ask our server for a refill. Once she finally received her refill we continued on eating and chatting and were only checked in on once the whole time we were eating by our server on how the food was and if we needed anything else. When we finally finished eating we patiently were waiting for our server to come see if we were done and needed anything else or any to go boxes. I would say we waited about 20-30 minutes before I went up to another employee asking for a takeout container and our bills in which I was advised she would get our server for us. We then waiting another 15 minutes just for our server to finally get to us. (Might I add that when we were eating it was a lot slower for customers then when we walked in.) Overall the food was amazing and delicious. But the service we received by our server was terrible especially given the amount of times she walked right by our table and we were only checked on once right at the beginning of our meals. I would say we counted at least 15 times she walked by that she could have asked us how we were doing but she didn’t. Food was amazing! But the service from our server was horrible and we were very disappointed in...

UPDATE: Increasing from 1 star to 3 stars. I give credit to the Regional Manager, Robert. He replied to my review and invited me to contact him. We ended up speaking on the phone. He was very interested in learning about my experience and gave me 18 minutes of his time. He apologized and at the end of the call offered me two coupons to any Denny's in Western Canada. I have no major complaint about the servers, except they were not attentive on the coffee refill, did a poor job mopping the floor, and she swung and missed when I complained about the steak being tough and way overcooked. My biggest issue was poor quality food: the tough dry steak, lack of salad ingredients, overcooked and inadequate side vegetables and thin dry tomato slices. Robert explained that fresh salad ingredients are in short supply right now, but he sincerely apologized.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Sticky floor with dirty napkins from prior patrons. All out of salad ingredients so i said i guess ill have sirloin steak. But they had no sirloin steak left. She suggested T-bone. I asked for t-bone medium but it came extremely well done, thin, grissly, and tough like leather. It also came with two sides. For one side i took the mixed vegetables which included broccoli, squash, zucchini and peppers. Only got 3 pieces broccoli and 4 or 5 tiny chunks of zucchini. No squash and no peppers. For second side i asked if i could get some sliced tomatoes and avocado. Got three tiny, thin, anemic-looking dry slices of tomato and 1/4 avocado. Got charged $3.49 for “add-on avocado”. She took 25% off for the steak which I...

I understand that breakfast restaurants are usually quite busy in the morning, however, I was extremely dissapointed with the lack of care or quality of service on this particular visit. We were seated almost as soon as we arrived. The waitress took our drink order then after about 20 minutes finally took our food orders. Her tablet wasn't working properly so she took our order at the terminal behind our table and proceeded to holler out to us from behind the computer, having us re tell her everything we asked for. An hour went by and no food yet, not even to check in with us to let us know it was coming or to offer us refills on our empty drinks, nothing!! We finally noticed what we assumed was a manager and asked him for refills which he promptly delivered. Then the waitress arrived asking if we needed refills, we told her that we were just helped with that. We mentioned to the manager that our waitress took our order and we haven't seen her since. He said she was 3 months new. Eventually our food arrived. My order was wrong and was sent back to be rectified. We ate and had to ask a waiter for help with containers. She came to our table asking if we needed containers, omg I felt like she was over her job for that morning. Again we told her we were being helped with that. She then came by with our bill, it was then that she became friendly and attentive, asking us about our day and so on. All I have to say is this lady should not be a waitress, she would be more productive as a greeter. Its a dissapointment because I haven't had a bad experience here...
