Louis' Loft — Restaurant in Saskatoon

Food is cold and bland, seems like it was just microwaved rice. Waitress never smiled, was in a rush although there were 5 tables in the restaurant and all other employees were not busy. We were never checked on to see how we’re doing. The only time she came over was for our bills and I can feel her staring at the machine to see if I was going to tip or not which was pressuring. I ended up tipping 5% anyways and she snatched the machine away from me before the reader could even say “accepted” upon payment and stomped away. Just overall shocked about the service though I was able to tolerate other behaviours and cold food.

Went to go talk to some friends about it and they agreed saying that there is one specific worker in there that is not very pleasant and welcoming. It’s like she doesn’t care about her customers and expects a huge tip from them.

To be frank the food would be considered meh. The best items I had do far were on the breakfast menu since they were as good as they come and see a reasonable price, but the other food items like the sandwiches are over priced in my opinion since you could get better and cheaper sandwiches at Subway. But I enjoy the the Italian sodas as they have a wide variety of different flavors to choose from, just remember to ask for just a little I've so you actually get your money's worth of the drink. They have daily specials so you can get a full meal for the fraction of the price, but it's not always...

Really nice space and nice baristas. The only downside is the manager is a jerk. If a group of four of you come in and three order drinks but the other one has a Tims he will come over and tell that person to leave or insist they order something. Worse he will order one of the baristas to do his dirty work for him. It's like he doesn't understand this is a space for students. Luckily he isn't around often so I've only seen him do that...
