Holy Cows Ice Cream — Restaurant in Sault Ste. Marie

Been here once before and loved it, today not so much. I decided to go full glutton and try the donut cone, thankfully I dug in there, the donut was so hard I could barely bite through. I pulled a piece off and was unable to squish it. The guy said he had to ask his manager, I almost felt as though I was being a complainer, but it was clearly stale and inedible. Ordered some salt water taffy, got the 1/2 lb. Bag which somehow has less in it than if I had paid separately. I did the math, so weird. There is 20 in the bag he gave me which would have cost $3 if i paid individually. And the guy seemed annoyed and just shoved them in a clear plastic baggy. Not what I expected for $5 since it was a gift. Anyways wont be back anytime soon with my little guy for what it cost. I drove from the west end of the Soo tonight to grab some ice cream . This place closes at 10 pm ,but one of the girls working tonight (April 27, 2024) thinks otherwise …

I entered at exactly 9:55pm (five minutes before close!) and as soon as I walked in , the girl at the front said “We’re closed” in a snotty voice. I didn’t even bother speaking from that point forward and just walked out. It would be ridiculous to argue with an entitled employee, let alone spend my money on a business that has people like that on their crew.

I would give this more stars if I could. This is an absolutely charming ice cream stand. They had so many different flavors, many that I had never seen that I was absolutely stumped as to what to get. I finally narrowed it down to two scoops, one of a mocha flavor and one of a lavender lemonade. My friend got the lavender lemonade and the Bordeaux cherry. All were delicious, but the lavender lemonade was mind blowing. Seriously! The service was excellent, the scoops generous, and reasonably priced. Well...
