What kind of management doesn't put a third person on staff at Subway Cambrian Mall? All the Subways seem to be only paying for two staff to work; one to take your order and start it and one to finish the order, i.e. toppings and that same person then has to remove his/her gloves and do the payment transaction. Then he/she puts on a different set of gloves and goes back to finishing the orders. I waited in line for 15 minutes today. The staff member with the two responsibilities finished my order but instead of processing the payment, she continued to finish the other two orders behind me. Meanwhile I just want to leave so I can eat before my lunch is over. I told the lady she was doing a great job but that they needed more staff. She said "This is what they give us." She seemed very stressed and was working very hard at doing all the things she had to - which is the two jobs for two people - NOT ONE. I think I am done with Subway except for ordering ahead online but even that doesn't always work out due to technical difficulties on...
Read moreI went with the latest coupon $7.50 for large sub. Cashier seemed a bit miffed at something but took my order. So, I tried to engage her by asking "Which coupon is the meatball one?" I already knew the answer, I just wanted to see if I could get her busy, and thoughts back on work. Shockingly, she took one look at it for 5 seconds, gave it back to me "There are no meatball ones". I replied "Well, that was easy!" and left to the Churchill location. On the way out I said "Nice attitude!". What TRULY bothered me is that MY retort lowered me down to HER level. You don't have to be here I thought, but rather it was I that didn't have to be there, and probably never will again. Why ONE person can bring her entire team down, is far from fair in anyone's business. She wasn't even rude or over the top, just NOT able to FOCUS (disconnected) at anything more than being miffed. Read moreOn our way home yesterday for a fishing trip we stopped in for take out for lunch. The young lady working was great. I think her name was Kelly, how ever the wait was long as we thought she was working alone. While I was in line waiting (4 ppl ahead of me) Another lady walked out from the back looked at us and then walked away leaving the sandwich girl alone. I made a comment and the girl in front of me dressed in star buck clothes replied this happens all the time the store manger ( not the owner ) offers zero help . I feel bad for the young girl working there.
I hope head office or the owner sees this and makes it right as that isn’t how to operate as a store manger. So five stars to the young girl I believe her name to be Kelly and zero starts for the store ( this always around...
