Road House Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Sault Ste. Marie

I was tired after a long drive from Toronto and I decided to eat here since it is next to the hotel, and it has very good reviews, have a beer and crash early

I trust my fellow google guides but this time it was a mistake!

the place was packed and it seems it's popular place but there was only 1 server. She was taking orders, bringing food, running behind the bar serving drinks to people sitting at bar, running around like crazy. I guess the other guy was trying to help her, actually was not a server, I am not sure

we waited over 30 minutes, felt like a life time

after all that wait, we got cold, dry chicken wings which were the worst I ever ate. It felt like they were cooked like yesterday and warmed up before served to us

I ordered also pizza with pepperoni, green peppers and mushroom. Guess what! pizza came without mushrooms. He says sorry takes the pizza back and brings it back with mushrooms spead on top "cold" uncooked or not cooked well

anyway, I was so hungry and tired, I didn't have energy to argue. I ate as much as I can.

chicken wings killed my appetite, I couldn't eat the whole pizza naturally. We decided to take last 3 slices with us but my gf wanted to share another slice. When we do this, she eates the middle part, I ate the edge part which I did. Then she said she cannot eat anymore. So, we paid and asked a box for the pizza. She said "I will take care of it" and took 2 and a half slice pizza, brought back 2 slices only 😵‍💫😡🤬

Anyway, if this place is the last place on earth, I wouldn't go there again to eat

Went to have lunch while visiting the city. Checked online to make sure they were open and got there with the family, saw a couple elderly people on patio but completely empty otherwise, after driving for 40 minutes, getting kids out of car and excited about a nice patio lunch they told us they don't serve families with children with no signs anywhere or mention of it online this is extremely poor management.

Owner claims it's a bar and that's why this is allowed but maybe they should learn the main difference between a pub and bar and stop trying to use her own bias decisions to excuse her actions to refuse service to children but profit from serving people alcohol. Great food, great atmosphere, INCREDIBLE SERVICE!!!! over ten years of fishing in the sault every June we go to several bars for dinner, and the roadhouse is the only one we ever seem to go back to. On this point we very seldom go anywhere else for dinner as you just cannot bet their food or service. The wings are the best ever and the pizza is great. However beside the great food it is the service that is unreal. We are here only 3 to 7 days a year but yet I feel like I am at a local bar at home and no matter how busy they are I feel like I am the only one there. being 400 miles from home but feeling like you are home when in another country is awesome.
