Restaurant Route 66 — Restaurant in Shediac

Ok ...dont like giving negative reviews to folks who are working very hard running businesses in this current day & age, especially with the constraints & challenges caused by our federal govt...however....3 of us ordered brekky & place was about 80% full when we got there...waited over 5 min to get a coffee & menu & waited 40 min for brekky...fried eggs & bacon....brekky should be the simplest meal to prepare in advance & most appreciated by customers ....possibly new owners & trying to figure out how to run it efficiently....the food was Excellent but didn't like to spend 1 1/2 hrs to have it ...other than the long wait time & a few other issues the food was incredible....wish them good luck in the near term...we need more small businesses & families working hard to turn things around in this country...hope they make...

We visited Shediac New Brunswick today to go to Parlee Beach. On our way back we stopped for dinner at Route 66 Diner. Our server Annie greeted us with a welcoming smile. It is an adorable diner with an appealing decor. Our server Annie was so helpful and accommodating. She went above and beyond to make sure we had the best dining experience. We ordered the fish and chips, the club sandwich and a Donaire. The food definitely exceeded our expectations. All the meals were fresh and hot. The portions were large. For dessert we ordered a chocolate mousse cake. It was amazing. This restaurant is unbelievable. Kudos to the cook and Annie the server. If you haven't dined here you are...

I love this place! It’s a perfect sized Americana influenced diner with great food and awesome staff.

The sign on the door noted that they were looking to hire wait staff. Our waitress was talking with locals about how short staffed they had been - especially when it was busy in the summer — I say this because despite it all, our waitress was super friendly and served us with a big smile! We definitely did not feel like tourists 🥰

Like you’d expect from a diner - the coffee was awesome!!!

Our food came quickly but yet we didn’t feel rushed.
