Browns Socialhouse Salisbury Gate — Restaurant in Sherwood Park

Been going here for over 3 years. Always have had a good time, great service, great food. Yesterday however was probably one of the worst experiences at a restaurant ive had in over 20 years. The music was so loud we had to shout to hear each other. The bartender was our server which meant for waiting excessively for our order to be taken, then when she did finally show up to take drink order, I was completely ignored. I ended up only drinking 1 glass of water as that was the only thing on the table and no one offered to refill my glass. Then when our food order was taken again the bartender/server ignored me, was like a last thought to ask if I wanted anything. I ordered reluctantly. We then got our food, which was okay, nothing special. The manger walks by asked how our food was, then realized my partner had not even began to eat, then manger says she will be back in a few minutes.. about 10 minutes goes by and the manger walks up to our table and asks my partner how the food was, she got an okay and then completely ignores me regarding my food and walks away. Food would have been better had i had something to wash down thr burger and fries with, but getting someone to refill was next to impossible. I have never been ignored in a restaurant like this before, especially from the server who was too busy at the bar making drinks and then again from the manager. I get having an off night but that way of treating returning customers was brutal and now questions ever returning to this establishment. So I was in about 2 weeks ago ordered my usual a social hound, and the Aji tuna crunch with extra Aji tuna and garlic fries. So all in all the food was good but my side tuna look like is was butchered ie it was not plated very nice and It was falling apart.

My social hound was not balanced. I drink this cocktail all the time when I go there. The drink is never the same its different every time I order one, so no more. I would expect a place like this to have standards but obviously they don’t.

During my visit I had to send my drink back several times and ended up telling them to just give me everything on the side and I’ll make it myself as if they made it. It would either taste too much like alcohol or taste too much like grapefruit juice, or taste way too much like soda. Water consistency was appalling. as much as I like the atmosphere and my Aji tuna crunch I don’t think I’ll be coming back anytime soon as if they can’t make a simple drink the same way every time you order it it makes me wonder about the food that they’re making back there as well.

I should add that one of the shift managers are supervisors did make every temp to help make my drink better, but it still did not fix the inconsistencies between her and the bartenders maybe retraining is an order so that when you have one drink from one bartender, and then another one the drink will be exactly the same, and it will be balanced not...

I meant to get around to posting this review earlier.. On July 12 me and my buddy went here for dinner. Both of us have never been here before this. We get there, its packed inside, we sit out on the patio which was alot quieter but hot in there as it was a sunny warm day. We were able to move to a shadier area where the couches are with the fireplace centerpeice table is. Super comfy chairs, service was superb from the moment we walked in. Menu pleasantly suprised us as there was not the same thing on every other menu and had some unique dishes. We order our entrees and a drink. Both of us had no complaints there. By this time im just thrilled with this place already, i go to the ladies room and run into a very interesting lady that started chatting about her amazing experiences traveling.. 15 mins later, i walk back to my table and food is there and cold! ( i told my buddy to wait before he digs in before i left because i wanted to take a picture first. Lady from the bathroom takes our picture and we start eating. Close by the manager (i think i recall Tina is her name) sees us comes over and offers to give me a fresh plate! I couldnt and said no but in the end she insisted and did anyway. She said isnt it much better warm? It was. Lol Super kind manager and staff and i can tell she is passionate about her customers dining experience. So 5 stars and more.
