Caffrey's In The Park — Restaurant in Sherwood Park

Caffrey's does such an awesome job with their events. Their music performers are always well chosen and such a great great time. Atmosphere is honestly always pretty reliable and no complaints. Service... well...it leaves you wishing you could grab your favorite server from somewhere else and bring them here. I find the bartenders to honestly be the best and I would give their service a 3 out of 5, the servers...well... I refuse to sit at a table now unless I absolutely have to given the size of our group. I find the servers like to focus on specific individuals and not all their tables. We sat at a table for 37 minutes before even being acknowledged, and the server saw us sit down. I had to go up to the bartender to order drinks, I waited for them, paid and tipped the bartender then went back to our table. Honestly, their servers need a lot of training and general spatial awareness. We've had "not the absolute worst" with servers, just honestly, don't expect anything outstanding unless you fit the type they are looking to talk to. As for the food… Get the wings…I like their wings, no complaints, and they are always well cooked. Brunch has gotten sloppy and bland, and the cut of steak is terrible. Sure, if you don’t mind the lesser quality for that price its fine, it would do in a pinch, but I will cook a steak at home before I ever eat one there. It’s not terrible, it just really isn’t that good. I’m more a fan of the drinks and the entertainment. We are never let down when we go in with those expectations and it works just fine for us. I would go here over other pubs in Sherwood Park...

Cafferey’s‘s has been our go to place for years now. Great food, good atmosphere, and good service. HOWEVER, our last visit was awful. Cafferey’s runs daily specials. On Thursday nights it used to be fish and chips with a bottle of Kieths. The fish and chips are still at the same price but management has seen fit to remove the Keiths beer without notice. You don’t know till you go to order. With tax and tip, of course, this equates to a whopping 50% increase in price! $14 + approx $7.07 for the Kieths. Our table of 5 heard 3 other tables grumbling about the change, poor waitress. Price increase sure but 50%? Boneheaded move by management! We seated ourselves on the busy patio, service was slow, food arrived timely. My wife said the portions had shrunk. I was busy talking but I compared the 4 fish and chip plates and she was right! Not only a 50% price increase but we have shrinkflation going on as well. Requested water was never brought. After food was brought, I had to go inside and request cutlery for everybody. Is this the death spiral for Cafferey’s? Overall, not a good...

Caffrey's is always a great place to go. Their live music is pretty good most of the times I have been, however, my friends and I have the most fun when Alter Ego (now Rekt Betties) are on stage. They are so talented and we always try to get a group together when they are scheduled to play here. The food and service is always great. With all the food I have tried the only thing I was disappointed with was the ginger beef. I found the one and only time I ordered it it was quite bland, but will admit it was the only time I tried it. They still get 5 stars for food! The reason for only 4 stars on the atmosphere is due to the uncomfortable seating. Those bar stools make coming for dinner at 5 or 6pm and staying for the band all night impossible. So I typically book a bit later for that reason alone. Talking to a couple of friends about bar stools and I never knew they too dislike bar stools for anything longer than 1.5 to 2 hours. I thought it was just me being short, but I guess not. Give Caffrey's a try, I don't think you will be disappointed! They have great weekly...
