McDonald's — Restaurant in Sherwood Park

20241120/21/22 - For the past three days, I’ve ordered a medium hot chocolate with my meal, and each time I’ve been told, “Sorry, our coffee maker is down.” However, what I find puzzling is that as I pull up to the window, I see coffee being served to the vehicle behind me. It appears more like they do not want to make hot chocolate than they actually have an issue.

I understand that large companies like McDonald's can weather occasional poor service due to their size and convenience, but this kind of treatment undermines customer trust and satisfaction. I hope management addresses these lapses in service quality.

Common issue at this location is incomplete orders. Start checking order versus contents. Last week was drinks...

Was in the drive through this morning, ordered what I saw on the menu with adding some minor changes (added bacon)..noticed the person didn’t change anything about my order on the screen. Go to pay, didn’t confirm my order…collect my food, ask to confirm what it was…told it was the basic sandwhicj I ordered without bacon. (I ordered the sausage McGriddle). Get to work, open the bag to check the receipt and notice it’s the “mighty” McGriddle, don’t know what that is…didn’t order it…I drive back to the location, go inside. And immediately get attitude like I’m asking to get stuff for free. I get a snarky remark from one of the other workers that overheard that my order was wrong stating “we have changed our menu”. Ok, well I ordered what was on your menu! Anyway…get my “somewhat” right order (still missing the bacon even though I asked 3 times to add it) and she hands me the bag back…while this is happening I notice the price difference and ask for the money back…I hear an audible sigh from what I think is a manager “helping me”

I’ve gone to this location lots as I work close by, every time it’s like the employees care to much about flirting with each other than rather working. Very unprofessional and 70% don’t listen to get the orders right. Maybe more training is required as it’s a job and not a bar/club to hang...

Service has steadily gone down hill this year. Today I was prompted to change my review from 5 to 2 stars as I have had the most hilariously bad meal. Firstly the fries were cold, like day old cold. We went to get fresh ones (or at least re flashed as I doubt much is made fresh here) so I decided to check our sandwiches just in case. Mine was akin to one in the commercials in two respects. Firstly it looked like nice but plastic like. Secondly it was indeed plastic like in both taste and texture. Surely they gave me a toy. Anyways the filet of fish was room temperature but the cheese had melted so we gave it a pass. My girlfriend decided it was best if she went in as my sarcasm is a little much for staff and is totally rude. So we got new fries, they were hot but not quite done, still a pass so we ate them. The burger was a **show. They had taken an old burger and thrown in back on the "Grill"(Flat top) and brought it to a nice heavy brown, not quite black but as close as I have ever seen a mcdonalds burger. So I said screw it and came home. There are other burger joints in town. Please do yourself a favour and try one. Five Guys, burger king, some guy cooking in the back of his truck or even Red Robin....
