Soup and Sandwich Co. — Restaurant in Sherwood Park

I stopped in for lunch while completing some training nearby in Sherwood Park. I ordered the soup and sandwich combo for $15. Two fresh soups were available and I chose the tomato tortellini which was very tasty. I only added a small amount of pepper, which was my preference. The croutons that were offered and added to the soup seemed homemade and was a nice addition. The turkey sandwich was a full sandwich. I chose the whole wheat bread, but they also offer white, sourdough, marble rye, and a grain bread as well (I believe that was all the choices). They had a nice cranberry sauce, along with all the normal sandwich condiments that you could choose from. The veggies were fresh and plentiful. I went with spinach, tomatoes, cucumbers, and black olives. I totally forgot to add cheese, but I honestly didn't miss it as the sandwich was absolutely delicious. I topped my meal off with an oatmeal raisin cookie, which seemed freshly baked and was soft. A must visit if you love soup! I wish I worked closer so I could go more often over my lunch break! My personal favourite is the Spicy corn chowder … or is it the Chicken Lasagna soup?? Come to think of it, the Italian Wedding is really good too! Maybe I don’t have a favourite after all 🤔. I guess that’s the great thing about them having 2 feature soups each day of the week. You know a place is good when you make an excuse to be in the area so you can have lunch there. I recently discovered Soup and Sandwich and every meal has been absolutely stellar. The ingredients are abundant and fresh every time. They do not skimp on making your sandwich hearty! The soups are homemade and flavourful. The staff are always pleasant and so helpful. I had wanted sourdough originally, but one of the staff looked at their sour dough and recommended to choose something else at that time because the slices were smaller than ideal.
