McDonald's — Restaurant in Sherwood Park

I usually do not rate places like McDonald's, because the bar is set pretty low. It's McDonald's.

I was there last weekend, I believe it was the evening of Saturday and the level of incompetence I witnessed is actually staggering.

Uncooked, way oversalted food and bad service. We'll get there.

The lady taking the order seemed like she was either deaf or high. I would ask for simple mods to my burger and she would stare. Not a big issue, but strange.

I asked for a larger water cup, they acted like they didn't know what to do. She stood there and tried to process it for almost 10 seconds before asking a manager what to do. I offered to pay for a larger cup. The manager grabbed the same small cup and rushed over to a tap before filling it up and handing it to me in a rude manner. It almost felt personal, I'm confused if they mistook me for someone else.

I asked for a lid for my water since I was taking it into the car, my request was ignored. They looked at me and just went "uhhhh". Nobody else was in line, just me. So this was very strange. Also I wasn't being rude in the slightest, but I was confused.

After being ignored I said "nevermind" and left. Here's where it gets bad.

My burger was oversalted to the point of being inedible. I order the same thing several times a week, and I've never had such a disgusting over seasoned burger. I choked on it and tried a smaller bite from the other side, which was better.

Then I bit into the middle. RAW. Raw burger. Pink. Falling apart. I spat it out, took a picture and threw that garbage into the trash.

I'm confused as to why I had such a horrible time, I've never been to this McDonald's before and I didn't know any of the...

Great place to take the kids. They loved the playplace. It can use a wipe down though as there is alot of sand and residue under the kids under three play area. There should be a sign there to help parents order food while in the play place. I had no idea you could do that until I had already ordered, waited in line with the kids and then gone to the play place. A sign by the door or kids area showing parents that they can head straight in sit down and order on their phone would've definitely helped. There was a gentleman there who brought the food to us in the playplace. That was great service. Also the other thing is the seats are too squished together in the play place so spacing them out more might be beneficial as no one wants to sit that close to be honest. You want a little space especially when you are trying to enjoy a few minutes of peace and quiet in while they play 🤣. The seats are literally up close to one another.. Kind of awkward really 🤣. Anyway overall I would take them there again for sure as you would spend a lot more at an indoor play place on just tickets so this way food is...

I was in the drive thru today for my coffees, at the pick up window an XL black coffee was passed to me and I accepted the coffee by grasping the side as shown in MacD literature This method works well providing one key step is taken by the people preparing the coffee the lid must be firmly in place. The lid being locked is a very important part of the stabilization of the sides of the cup. I ended up with hot black coffee all over me and the interior of my car. This was 1 of 2 of my coffees. When I yelled out as the hot coffee burned my hand and legs the young lady on the window closed the window. I had to tell out to have her open the window, take the coffee back and ask for some napkins. Then she closed the window again. Then the window opened and she passed the coffee to me, I could see a manager looking at me from behind the girl but then she ducked back out of sight. I suggested they have someone check that the lids were firmly in place be the item is passed to the customer. I did not go inside as I was due at an appointed and had to return home to wash up and change my clothes, clean the interior of my car. This is the 2nd time in as many months this...
