We went to this location and we were super excited to find out they had seating for the Oilers game. We should of been worried the place was less than half full, but more on that later. We were seated in the back corner beside the raised booths making it so the person facing the bar had to duck to watch the game through the hand rails and the person facing the windows had to lean back and look straight up. As mentioned the bar was less than half full and there were many other tables that would of provided a view, but not knowing if they were reserved we kept our mouth shut. The table was extremely sticky and felt as though it was never cleaned. When the server finally arrived (Brooklyn) we asked which beers were on sale for the game, she didn't know and left the table. About 20 minutes later she came back with the list and we ordered. When ordering I specified I wanted to sub the Swiss for cheddar. Simple enough. Half an hour goes by and we are done our drink when a different server brings out the food. My order is wrong and I explain it. They apologize as it wasn't their table and leave with the food (the servers were very polite, even though they never offered more drinks). My food comes back extremely fast and again we aren't offered more drinks. I notice that my sandwich is floating in liquid but thought maybe they just spilled some au jus. I bite into the sandwich and realize what happened. Instead of remaking the food properly the cook decided to just recook the order that was made wrong, used water to steam the swiss in an attempt to hide it and melt the cheddar on top. The watered down mess now was made even more wrong and when our server finally came back I pointed it out to her, she immediately blamed the kitchen. I asked for the manager and she said she would go get her. Our drinks were still empty. The manager came over and wouldn't let me talk just saying that the kitchen misunderstood and that she wouldn't charge me for it. I was never offered an opportunity to order something else or even to order another drink. About half an hour later Brooklyn the server comes with the bill. The second period had just started and we had planned on staying for the full game but were being rushed out. I paid the bill and then realized that the manager didn't take the entire meal I ordered off the bill instead leaving the charges for "Adding Cheddar" showing the issue was the server rang in the bill wrong and it wasn't the kitchens fault. We left promptly going to a different place to eat and watch the rest of the game. Why would someone be charged for subbing cheeses in the first place? Arguably the Swiss would cost more on the restaurants inventory control compared to the cheddar. Also to note the tomato soup was brown and greasy compared to other Original Joes but with how the "Chefs" cut corners and recook food that has already been served (violation of health code) I wasn't surprised.

So some friends and I went to Original Joes for a Paintnite last night but, we went in early to try out the winter menu and have a couple of drinks beforehand and we were not disappointed. We tried the Pretzel Bites and they were soft and the cheese dip was delicious, plus the Mini Yorkies off the regular menu never disappoint. We all tried a different cocktail off of the holiday menu and the Classic Nog and the Celebration Shots were our favourites lol!!! We then ordered our meals and decided to stick with our favourites from the regular menu. I will say this though when you are deciding on your sides I highly recommend the side salad. It is absolutely delicious with the apples, walnuts, blue cheese and the vinaigrette dressing… I hope they add a larger version to the menu one day because it is too delicious to just be a side dish. We received amazing service not just from our waitress who I will admit I put in a rather difficult position when I asked her who looked the oldest at the table 😂😂😂… luckily she was saved by one of my friends who pointed at herself and the poor waitress was relieved to walk away. I also want to say that the gentleman that was running the food out was fantastic and very friendly, every time he brought out a dish he asked if we needed anything else and cleared away any dishes. I have to say that I have not been to the Sherwood Park location for many years and clearly since my last visit there have been some improvements. I was very impressed with the food, the service and when we finally moved to the area for the paintnite we all had a great experience and will be back again. Thank you all for making a great girls night for us ❤️❤️❤️!!!

Typically, we have enjoy going for a little drink here, but after tonight we will go elsewhere. I took my daughter out for a drink to celebrate a milestone in her life and when the waitress brought her the wrong flavor of margarita and we then asked for what we ordered as a replacement and she replied "oh, that's right" and went to the side to blend a new one. When she returned with it, it was full of huge ice chunks (up to 2.5 inches wide). We ended up leaving a half finished $13 unblended drink as it would have taken hours for the huge amounts of ice to melt. When we took out a few chunks from the drink and placed them on a napkin on the table the waitress took them and laughed. Shelby9552, the waitress knew exactly what she had done and found it funny. We didn't have time to speak to management, so I decided to share this review. Not worth our time or money.

$10 shirt ribs are terrible. Overcooked, charred and the peanut sauce might as well be called a soup. The amount of oil that the ribs came in made the sauce not stick. The sauce was very watered down. If you have low spice tolerance the summer menu isn't for you. Aside from my mouth being on fire for the whole meal, the food was okay. It felt sad and depressing like there was just no love. Cucumbers were almost paper thin. Looked like some of the lettuce was getting old but covered up well with the sauce. Service was amazing despite my server looking very tired and exhausted...I visited 09/20/23 around 6pm. Not sure what else the hype is about this place but it was busy. Nothing really stood out for me, it just felt like any other sports bar for me. Another thing I noticed before I walked in was garbage in between the windows and the seats of the restaurant, gross. Floors are sticky on the way towards the bathrooms. Seats feel like they've been sat on for some time, they kinda sink after a lot of use. Definitely try a blonde beer if you like Canadian, they didn't have that on tap. $80 meal plus tip, not worth it.

10/31/23 Much better! 10/10! Bathroom floors aren't sticky, garbage was cleaned up behind the booths by the window, food was amazing, and fresh! Service was awesome as usual, and the blonde on tap is still awesome. Thank you for reaching out and I'm glad I could give this place a second chance. This is customer service and good management and this is how you get a returning customer and fix issues and listen to feedback. I appreciate this so much I will be a returning customer.

05/27/24 Loved the fish tacos! I think frying them was a great choice as the texture fits the meal better. Coleslaw was also a good combo giving the taco a nice fresh taste and crunch. Did I mention that their sauces are home made? The dill dip actually had real dill pieces in it. Same with the creaser sauce for the salad. Seriously, do not sleep on the dill dip with fries, so good, they still give you ketchup just in case. Quesada was a tomato wrap, so warm and yummy! The quality of food in this place has gone up and it shows. Not your "Original Joe's" a place to actually...

We have been loyal customers for years, either ordering takeout or eating in. We have gotten takeout/delivery more often lately. As much as we love the food, there seems to be an issue every time. I have tried contacting the restaurant by phone countless times to discuss my concerns but i never get an answer or a call back. So bad review here goes..

For example. -Ordering a pick up order, arriving at the allotted pickup time, to be questioned by the employee if we actually placed an order because they didnt have it. Upon showing her order confirmation she disappeared for several minutes to come back and say that the order just came through on their end. So by the time the order was meant to be picked up, she then inciunated it was normal and as if I misunderstood something. So i waited 20 extra min at the bar for an order and there was no responsibility or apology on the staffs end.

We order fish and chips often. When packaged to go, the gravy is placed in a cup in with the food. The gravy cups then melts into it all and everything is soggy. We have requested for them to be packaged separately multiple times. This has never happened.

The chicken club wrap is inconsistent. It usually comes either cold or hot and at this point i dont even know which way is the right way anymore. The temperature doesnt bother me so much but it always gets really soggy really quickly, you have to scarf it down within 5 minutes otherwise its total mush. It is so delicious otherwise could use a little modifying in that regard.

Wings keep going up in price and quality/quantity going down. Its about $18 for a lb of wings, and it feels there is less and less and there is barely any flavor to them. The meat quality is also not as good as it used to be. This goes for the steak sandwhich as well, which we no longer even bother getting.

We supported this restaurant at least once or twice a month for a long time. I've wanted to keep loving them, but there have just been far too many food quality problems. The customer service seems...
