Subway — Restaurant in South Dundas

I’ve lived in this town for just around 10 years now and for quite awhile Subway was my go-to meal. However in recent years it’s become pretty bad and despite recent attempts to give them more chances, they just fall short every time.

My wife and I enjoy subways meatball subs, but now they never seem to have meatballs prepared. I’ve gone in 5 times in the last 2 weeks and gotten a meatball sub once. The meatballs also don’t seem to be hot which in turn makes the sub much less enjoyable. The only good meatball sub I’ve had there in recent memory was made by one of the more seasoned staff members, but sadly I rarely see her in there anymore.

Staff seem uninterested in serving you, and they either get frustrated or make odd mistakes when you ask for stuff. Once they got upset that I asked to cut my foot long sub in half prior to putting ingredients on, because it would “make too much of a mess” and another time when I asked for cheese of both half’s of the sub, they literally put extra cheese on both the front and back of the sub. It’s just not a smooth experience there at all.

Honestly I had cut my visits down to once every few months, but I tried again after that one good sub I got; with this crappy experience and the fact they never seem to have meatballs prepared, even at mealtime, I may just start going elsewhere again. Probably a restaurant that actually has the food...

Stopped in at the Subway in Morrisburg and had a great experience. The staff were friendly, quick, and made the sandwiches exactly how I asked. Everything was fresh, the restaurant was clean, and service was excellent. I would like to specially add that I had someone who was pure vegetarian and didn’t even eat eggs. When we informed the staff that we are ordering a vegetarian sandwich, they washed their hands again, put on fresh new gloves and also had a special separate color coded (green) knife to cut the sandwiches. I believe this is extremely helpful for vegetarian and vegan customers. Convenient location mins from highway 401 — perfect for a quick stop. One of the better Subways...

Have had a couple of instances that make me question their cleanliness.

My daughter dropped her loonie by accident and it slid under the glass and onto the meat. They grabbed the loonie off the meat and gave it back to my daughter but left the meat there. they put wrong toppings on our sub. When told about it they grabbed the toppings off and tossed them back into their containers they came from. they are bold and rude at times. they skimp on the toppings as mentioned before regarding there seating area, I believe they aren’t cleaned as often as they should be. the old owners were so...
