I want to share some constructive feedback based on my experiences with Glencoe Pizza Picasso. While I appreciate having a local pizza place in town, Iāve consistently encountered issues that I feel should be addressed.
First, customer service could be more respectful and attentive. Clear communication and active listening are essential in any business, but Iāve found that requestsāsuch as asking for a well-done pizzaāare often not followed through.
Second, the quality of certain menu items, particularly the chicken wings, leaves much to be desired. They tend to be mushy rather than crispy and flavorful, which makes them quite unappetizing.
Most importantly, the handling of āgluten-freeā options is a major concern. As someone with celiac disease, I understand that cross-contamination is a risk, but I have had three separate incidents where I became ill due to improper handling. If a restaurant cannot confidently provide a gluten-free option without repeated cross-contamination, then it should not be offered at all. Itās extremely frustratingāand unsafeāfor those of us with dietary restrictions to be misled.
Living in a small town, especially during the winter months, makes it difficult to travel far for safe dining options. It would be wonderful to feel confident ordering from a local business without worrying about getting sick. I truly hope to see improvements in both food quality and allergen awareness so that all customers can enjoy a safe and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhere to start - the cheese, the marinara, the base - itās all perfect. I donāt think Akon would be able to find the words to describe this pizza without being disrespectful. To be honest, this is exactly what got us through lockdown 2020, and continues to deliver into 2021. What you want to get is the straight up Traditional Cheese Pizza (by the slice at $3.50 or as a whole) - itās a work of art. Tangy, fresh cheese combined with a firm base (with some flop of course),and delicious marinara. Itās the kind of pizza that would have Dave Portnoy speaking fluent Italian ātutti conoscono le regoleā after one bite (everybody knows the rules?). Itāll keep you coming back for more (as we have) and guarantee will be your favourite pizza place...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy first order here will be my last. Placed order by phone so I could pick up after working all day. When I arrived they had made a pizza instead of panzorotti. Fine, people make mistakes and they were busy. Counter staff pointed out the error to back staff. Lady in back states I ordered a pizza. Didnāt want to argue (or wait for them to remake) so I said itās fine Iāll take the pizza. I asked if I would be charged for the pizza or panzo and which one was more. Lady in back cuts counter staff off as heās telling me Iām being charged for the more expensive pizza. Says āI made a pizza, youāre getting charged for oneā as if I didnāt just do them a favour by not making them toss the pizza. I wonāt be making that...
