Crumbs Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Sparwood

A hidden gem, well at least it used to be. Now that the owner has moved into a store front, the word is getting out. If you haven't tried this place yet, you are missing out. The service is excellent and friendly. The ambiance is great and there are spots to eat in as well as take out. The prices are also reasonable considering everything is made fresh and with care. The cakes and baked goods are beyond amazing. You can order virtually any cake flavors and decorations and the result is breathtaking. I personally ordered a minion cake for my other half (a cake she always wanted but no one had taken the time to make/order). The cake was very well designed and decorated and Amy, the owner, did all this within my budget, exactly how she said she would. My other half, who normally does not like fondant ended up eating it right of the cake as if it was candy. We also very much enjoy the cup cakes and I personally visit regularly for lunch. The Broccoli Salad is my favorite as well as the curry hand pies. I will certainly keep coming back for more and will also try the home made soups (as they come with a large home made bun). Thoroughly disappointed. Mainly in the manager. 4 items on our meal were incorrect and the entire meal was cold when served. Recieved drinks once, no one ever came back around to ask if we wanted more. Over 20 minutes until someone came to ask how everything was. When I explained the incorrect order, the waitress immediately apologized and went to the kitchen. I had asked to have the one incorrect item removed from the bill, the response was "we can't void it and if that's a problem you'll have to talk to the manager". Beyond unprofessional response from the business owner who was right there in the kitchen. I dont mind paying good money for food, but also have a minimum expectation for quality as well. They took my burger back (cold) scraped the vegetables off and slapped a cold slice of cheese on it and said I could microwave it at home. All I can say is they are lucky it was our 10th anniversary dinner (wont forget this one!) I would have loved to talk to the manager, but i also don't want to beg for that. A proper tactful manager would take the initiative, acknowledge an issue and engage with customers. Sadly I will not be back to see how good their fresh burger can be. A&W was a great...

This lovely cafe has an excellent selection of baked treats, both savory and sweet, plus an assortment of sandwiches, wraps, salads, and bowls. Check out their deli counter for a quick and tasty grab and go lunch of a sandwich or power bowl.

They also make wraps and salads fresh for you. I had the thai wrap, which was delicious and satisfying. I also got a pastry and a savory meat pie to go: all amazing!
