Oh gosh do I ever feel horrible that I don't remember her name! My mum brought my son and I here when we came visiting for his March break all the way from Elliot Lake! Walking up, I immediately thought about how cool the entrance was.. Walked in and BOOM.. The flipping most welcoming and absolutely beautifully aesthetic interior is what youre first met by! Then the bubbliest, most caring waitress sat us in our booth 🤩 She catered to my 7 year old son who is Autistic, with absolute love and admiration and made sure every step of the way that his dietary needs were met and I genuinely could not thank her enough because it can be tough finding something for him on restaurant menus that you don't have to completely rework for him to have.. But they made us feel like they wanted my li'l dude to have an awesome experience there as well! You can tell the food was made with passion and love and genuinely.. I even talked about how beautiful a small wedding would be there as well! The staff, the atmosphere, the food, the quality that they hold overall.. Coming from a small town, Elmvale definitely shows us up when it comes to the passion, love and dedication to filling your belly in the most wholesome way.. Love my town, but would love y'all in my town LOL The Original owners of this place would be very proud with how y'all have continued their legacy! I will definitely be coming by everytime we make our way down and definitely somewhere I will bring all my friends and family 🤩 Thank you for the amazing experience! Four of us were there on Sunday night. We were the only patrons. Ordered diet Pepsi and gingerale. Both were flat and we told the waitress. She gladly replaced them and said if they were flat, she would remove the cost from our bill. My sister ordered the fish and chips. The fish was good but the fries were less than 1/2 cup serving. Three of us ordered hot hamburger. My loaded baked potato was not cooked so it was returned for a new one. The gravy on our hot hamburgers was very runny (similar to a broth). The hamburger was tiny. Side order of corn was just okay. When the bill came, we noticed that to substitute a garden salad for the fries was $1 more (but that was not indicated on the menu). Also, for the loaded baked potato (it was supposed to have melted cheddar cheese (which was not there), bacon bits (they were there) and chopped green onion (there were 3 tiny slices) there was an upcharge of $1.25 for the baked potato and then $2.45 for the "loaded" part. This was also not mentioned on the menu. When my sister questioned it, the waitress apologized and then stood there waiting for my credit card. My sister said "isn't there anyone you can speak with about changing the bill?" and then they decided to remove the $3.70 upcharge for the potato.

Not a great experience this time. We had to wait for a table which was okay. The waitress took our order in a fast and friendly manner. The problem was with the service afterward. My kids ordered pancakes, and we had eggs and bacon,ext. The order took a very long time. We noticed three groups that were behind us in line had received their orders and were on their way out. When we did get our order the pancakes we're burned and hard as a rock. The kids ate them but did not enjoy them at all. It took another ten minutes to get our order. They didn't get my wife's order correct, gave sasuage instead of peamal bacon. I asked for my bacon to be crispy, it came barely cooked. We asked a waitress if she could fix it, she said she would take care of it... never saw her again. We just ate what we could then told our waitress how disappointed we were, she seemed fakely apologetic and didn't offer any discount or any intrest in correcting the situation. Overall a poor rating today. I'm writing this not to try to get something for free or a discount on our next meal but I think it's time we started holding restaurants accountable for poor service. If we don't stand up and say something, nothing will every get...
