Good vibes , cute signage/branding , good looking sandwiches , decent on the taste.
We’ve been wanting to try The Buvette since it opened and finally got our chance! Overall I’d say the sandwiches were a tad underwhelming but they were still good. The flavours were a bit lacking but visually it looked delicious. I think there’s a bit too much spinach and lettuce in both sandwiches with little sauce or spread so all you kind of get is a mouthful of the plain greens. That being said the sandwich tasted fresh. Everything was layered beautifully to the eye.
Out of the two sandwiches we tried (Meat Sando and Deli Sando) I couldn’t say which one was better. If the two had components of each other and blended a little it might have created a better overall balance of flavours. The Meat Sando had a good little kick to it and the Deli had good tang with the pickled peppers.
The service was not bad but not great. Friendly staff but it was very busy and it took very long for the sandwiches to come out. With it being a deli sandwich I think most people expect it to be quick. I think it took about 20 minutes.
All in all, the experience was a 4/5 Ideas definitely there, vibe is right.. just needs a bit more in flavour and service a bit quicker for a sandwich...
Read moreBig Time Frank and Rockett stopped in here a little while back / We didn't check Reviews beforehand but, any whining about "Vegan Sandwiches lacking Protein"... consider Red Wine instead / We certainly didn't mind waiting a few minutes for a carefully prepared, awesome "Sando" as opposed to some assembly-line throw together /
Tastefully appointed Venue, very charming and welcoming Hosts and excellent Sandwiches which were evidently, very carefully prepared with plentiful contents /
While it may seem pricey to some, when was the last time you had a McCrappy Meal at a "Golden Arch" ? / The Buvette's "Meat Sando" contained fresh, wholesome ingredients, in-house prepared condiments, excellent and ample cuts and similar to my experiences at Salem's "Charcuterie" in Langley years ago, I could only eat the one sliced half and my Gal loved the other half when I brought it home (chilled) later on /
Excellent work, you two! ' I wish I lived in Squamish and I could enjoy some evening ambience and a glass of Vino in your company! / See you...
Read moreI was hoping this could be my go-to lunch spot, but it was immediately disappointed by the limited selection of sandwiches (choice of 3), followed by the shocking sticker price ($16 for the meat one). I still held out for what surely would be an immaculate presentation with a plethora of sides & garnish. The plate arrived with a sandwich wrapped in wax paper, cut in half. No garnish, no chips, no nothing. Then, when I took a bite, my teeth recoiled from the cold, refrigerated sandwich, which I nearly spat out. Oh, wait, this is not a freshly made sandwich after all - it’s a pre-made, super chilled sandwich. The pesto butter making bread super soggy. I’m quite surprised at the good reviews this place has gotten, so maybe my expectation of a lunch sandwich is very different to the crowd that tends to visit this establishment. First and last visit, I’m afraid. I’ll go back to the places that provide real...
