We arrived and were seated at 10:39 (I know because half of us arrived first, we sat down around 10:40). Yes, it was very busy—it was Good Friday. We got our drinks reasonably quickly, around 10:45 or so because they had already ordered the drinks. But we didn’t put our food order in until 11:13. Is that a normal amount of time to wait before even taking our food order?

At 11:45, we asked what was taking so long, and our server said the ticket only said 25 minutes. Does that mean our order wasn’t put in right away? We didn’t get our food until 11:55—right before we were about to leave.

My order was wrong, but I didn’t want to change it because I was too hungry to wait again. Then, halfway through eating, I found a grey hair in my eggs, a replacement was offered but by that point I was just done.

Look, I get that things happen—maybe they were short-staffed, maybe it was just a bad day. What really bothered me was the lack of apology or ownership. In my opinion, if a customer has a concern, it should be acknowledged with an attempt to make it right—not brushed off with excuses.

The only apology I heard was given to the last person to get their meal—a 9-year-old girl. They did comp my meal because of the hair, which I appreciated, and gave us a 2-for-1 coupon “if we want to come back,” in our server’s words.

But honestly, it just didn’t feel like enough. We were a group of 10, some of us, semi-regulars, I don’t believe any of us...

A group of us 5 had dined at this spot to end our buddy’s birthday with some brunch the following day. All in all it was a great spot and very delicious options. Totally recommend. However our experience was absolutely tainted by the server that serviced our table on Sunday, July 27th afternoon. After paying our bill and even tipping 15%, we were out on the parking lot saying our good byes as we were getting ready to part ways. Our server came outside and yelled from across “Hey! Did you guys pay your bill !?” It was absolutely rude and distasteful. If there’s doubts about payment, the onus and duty is on you as the employee to ensure payment with the employee that administered the transaction before any type of semi-aggressive confrontation. Once my friend showed her the bill, she laughed and acted as though every thing was good. No ‘thank you’ or any appreciation for the tip, absolutely nothing. If we do repeat, we will request for a more professional waitress that has an ounce of proper decorum and etiquette when dealing with guests. There’s a gentle way to approach this matter, she chose to resort to unprofessional means. Hence the ONE...

Came here with friends for brunch on a Friday afternoon. It wasn’t too busy- maybe 3-4 other tables of 2s in the restaurant. The service was friendly. The visit started off strong however it went sour once the food came out. The food took 35+ minutes to come out. My friends waffle with Nutella and berries looked like it had been sitting under the heater for a while. Berries were warm and mushy. The waffle was deflated and soggy. We asked for a remake which didn’t seem to be a problem at all. The server forgot to punch in one of our group members meal. So on top of waiting 35+ mins already, our two friends had to wait another 20 mins or so for their food to come out. We had to constantly bother our server for little things; butter, maple syrup, jam/PB, more coffee etc. I think it would be helpful if condiments mentioned above were just placed on the table for guests

Overall the food was good. Our server was nice and apologized for the inconvenience. They gave us a voucher to be used for our next visit which was a nice gesture. I know this wasn’t just on the server but an overall performance of the restaurant. Hopefully this was...

Located at the corner of Townline Road E. and Merrit Road. There is plenty of parking with a short walk to the front doors. The restaurant was 25% filled and was told to choose any table I wanted. Was presented the menu and asked if I wanted anything to drink. Coffee came fast and was an ok taste. Selected the Early Bird Special to see how their name sake special was with Sunny and rye bread. The presentation was ok... but the home fries were a little crunchy for my liking. The bread was lightly toasted and could have spent an extra 30 seconds to get a light crunch. The coffee refill was slow... first cup came likity split but the 2nd arrived when the bill was presented... for 2.75 I would expect a little more service. This is targeted as a diner and would have enjoyed the bar top setup than this restaurant style setup with diner level food. Will try out other restaurants for their offerings and make a final decision
