Came in for lunch reservation 2pm for fathers day weekend hoping to sit on the patio but it was full, we were seated inside, it was not very busy, waited maybe 5 minutes before the server came over to ask what we wanted to drink.
She took our drink order and ran off.. we did have questions about the menu (if you're not greek, you probably would, as most dishes dont explain what they are).
She returned with our drinks and said she would be back to take our order and took off again.
When she came back my dad asked about the dolmades dinner, she didn't really explain just that it was meat rice in grape leaves (like the menu stated) maybe would have been nice to explain the taste or flavor profile as it was definitely a strange tasting dish that neither of us liked.
I was going to order chicken gyro dinner, and she said it's processed chicken. Everything else is fresh except that.. strange something is on the menu that's not recommended, but ok, I ordered gyro dinner instead, which was good as expected.
When she brought our food she didn't ask if we needed anything just took off again and didn't come back until we were half way through our meals (10-15 minutes) to ask how everything is she said to my dad that dish is different how do you like it he said yeah it's different it's ok.. and she took off again, literally as I was saying he thinks it's salty.
Another 10 minutes go by, and she comes over with boxes on her own. We box our food and wait...
I can hear her and the table behind me and say how shes always great when they come.. ( So she recognizes the regulars and treats them better is my thought.. )
We were sitting with our boxes of food for about 10 minutes before I got up myself to figure out if she was getting the bill or what was happening.
Paid and won't be back, unfortunately, as the...
Read moreThe worst and most bizarre experience I’ve ever had at any restaurant in my life. So much so that we didn’t even eat there. Having heard good things about this restaurant and living close by my fiance and I decided to try the restaurant with our four kids. When we walked in we were greeted by a young woman who seemed confused by the fact that there were six of us who wanted to sit on the patio, she informed us that the only table that sits six had “just” been seated so we would have to wait until they had ordered and eaten to be seated as a family of six. I peered around the corner and the restaurant had multiple empty tables for 4. A couple then walked in and we were just ignored as the hostess dealt with them. My fiancé asked for a manager when the young lady came back and I indicated that I was already ready to leave but my fiancé wanted to give it another try. A manager was requested again and we asked if they couldn’t just push two tables together for us and they said that wasn’t possible. My wife asked if she could see the patio and a manager (third request for a manager) and when they took my wife to the patio there were only four people sitting on the entire patio. My fiancé asked again why they couldn’t just connect two tables and they indicated this wasn’t possible. The tables and chairs were not fastened to the ground so I still don’t really get it. My fiancé asked for a manager on six separate occasions and in the end was told the manager was simply too busy. I’ve never before been told by any restaurant that’s more than half empty that they can’t seat a party of six. Not sure what the food even tastes like but if you go out with more than four people in total I don’t know that this establishment will be able...
Read moreWhat can I say? It’s been almost 6 months contemplating whether I should write this review or not cause I hate writing bad reviews. But, we’ve tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. We’ve eaten there 4x - once with my late fiancé over 2 years ago (who never cared to go back), and 3x now with a new friend, who LOVES Greek food. First time wasn’t so bad when he ordered one of the most expensive lamb dinners on the menu, for us. The order took an unusually long time to get to the table. The second time, we ordered the same thing but this time around, there was more bone than meat with the lamb dinner. The place was crowded so we figured we’d call the next day about it. When we did, they told us we should’ve informed them at the time. Maybe so but we didn’t want to cause a scene. Nevertheless, any other place would’ve, at the very least, offer a free dessert or something. We received nothing. Third time around, the order took forever as usual to get to the table but the meat was very salty with the gyro dinner at which time we were informed by our waitress that it was the only meat that was not cooked on the premises but ordered from a supplier. The lamb in my pita I could not chew. I tried over and over. I asked for it med-rare. Was this why? Honestly, I ended up choking on it. There could’ve been a major scene but I kept my cool and eventually was able to heave it back out. The scenery is great, the staff amazing but the food and business etiquette, unfortunately, we can’t rave about. :( We’ve been to a Greek restaurant in the states and portions were surprisingly bigger. Sorry for the...
