Tang Chinese Cuisine — Restaurant in St. Catharines

We ordered Tang Chinese for the first and last time. I didn’t even notice there were no reviews on their site but now I understand why! Most reviews start at 3.5 and I could not in all good conscience give it a one. Terrible is understated the fried rice was burnt and old tasting I worried for my health after just a couple bites. The General Tao chicken was like nothing I have ever tasted before called chicken and the chicken balls were dried and looked as if they had been overcooked ( burnt ) in a frying pan with a drizzle of sweet and sour sauce. I ordered two wonton soup and 4 egg rolls, the wonton soup tasted like some kind of old oil and it didn’t smell right either. The wontons were awful with a mushy texture and no flavour so the old oily broth? was highlighted and not in a good way! The egg rolls were just more of the same old tasteless garbage. Of all this food we barely ate any of it even our dog refused to eat it! I took pictures because you should really see the truth of what you get for close to $60.00 Ordering in is a big treat for us and I wish I had known how bad this place is. Great Food: Slow Service for Some

I love the food here but once again feel like the service is sub-par.

When I arrived this evening I said we didn’t want a full meal but just two large Won Ton soups. We watched the four other tables of people in the restaurant get multiple, elaborate dishes while we waited over 40 minutes for our soup. We were told it was because everything is made in the sequence with ordering. It disappointed us as we were just trying to catch a quick bite to eat and my mother had to leave before our order came. The server told me, when I questioned a second time, that they have to do something with the making of the soup itself. I didn’t quite understand but perhaps that’s just how long good soup takes.

I have stopped ordering takeout because I was disappointed not only by another incident but that I had emailed the restaurant, as I couldn’t speak to the owner directly, and he did not respond to me.

All of this being said, it is delicious food so perhaps just don’t be in a hurry and don’t be miffed if you see others receive...

Was our first time here and never again. We ordered online and it said to pick up in 15 mins. I got there late, expecting it might be cold but that would be my fault, instead they were not even done making it. I waited in store and we got the food about 35 mins after ordering. They didn’t do anything that we requested (ie sauces on the side). The meal came with pop and they almost didn’t give me them. One of the combos was make with the wrong sauce. They did fix this after my complaint but I had to wait even longer. By the time we got everything correct and got home we had to reheat the first food we got. The staff were very rushed and there were not enough of them. They hardly spoke to you and we’re terrible at communicating. The rice was insanely greasy.
