Boston Pizza — Restaurant in St. Thomas

I’m writing this review quite late but I feel it’s necessary to make others aware of this. My boyfriend and I dined here on Valentine’s Day when we were totally forgotten about. We are not from this area, we were visiting town for a hockey tournament. We went into BP around 6 for dinner. Boston pizza is a go to for us because we know the service is fast which is great considering we had a hockey game to get to in London later that evening. We were sat right away, full restaurant but there was a man there (manager maybe?) who said “just hold on we will find you a table” and he did so huge shout out to him!! However we ordered our food by 6:10 and our waitress was great! Appetizer came out by 6:20 which made great timing for us. However we waited and waited for our food, it’s now 7:20. We needed to be in London for my boyfriend’s hockey game by 8 so we could not stay. When the waitress finally came back at 7:30 after an hour of not seeing her at all. I just politely asked if we could get our food to go as we didn’t have time to wait any longer. She did. She then comes back with the bill and says “I’m so sorry but they forgot about your pizza and they just put it in the oven” the pizza was on the bill. I just asked that she takes it off the bill and we will be on our way. She did. I was texting my friend who is a server at Boston pizza in our hometown and she was livid that this happened to us! “They forgot” is server code for “I forgot to punch it in” and she told me Boston pizza has tv screens for every order, if it has not been sent out by 20 minutes the screen is red so they wouldn’t have missed our pizza. Keep in mind it was not a complicated pizza. It was a cheese pizza, the simplest pizza on the menu. My friend demanded I get the manager to discount our bill but I am not someone to speak up and ruin this poor waitresses day. They were busy, I felt sorry for her although we were treated badly. Moral of the story, we were forgotten about, my boyfriend and I left without eating our dinner. It was Valentine’s Day, they are busy I understand that! But everyone else who came in after us received their food and we did not. I was speaking to someone else at the hockey tournament that evening about this and she said this Boston pizza is known for terrible service, I learned the hard way unfortunately. Our waitress was nice but this experience ruined our Valentine’s Day dinner! We ended up ordering pizza from little Caesars at 11pm after hockey because we hadn’t eaten dinner since we were forgotten about at BP earlier in the evening. Will not return if I ever come back...

We made a reservation at the restaurant on Saturday for Sunday at 4:30 for 12 people on the bar side. When we arrived, the hostess could not find it. No problem, we were seated fairly quickly. The whole party was there within 10 minutes. The server was wonderful, just a little frazzled, as she had a couple of large groups. The food came out slowly, 2 plates at a time. The server came by to check on us and realized that 3 of us did not have our plates yet. She went back to the kitchen and the rest of the food came out. The problem was that I had ordered grilled chicken tacos with a side of coleslaw, and the runner brought me fish. When I said "oh, I ordered grilled chicken", the runner said "no, you ordered fish". I just looked at her. She gave an exasperated sigh and said "Fine. I'll have it remade." I then waited 19 more minutes for my tacos, but they arrived without my side. I mentioned it to the runner who promised to bring it right away. I never saw her again. The server was a sweetheart and realized it as soon as she came to the table. She gave me a to go order with the box for my leftover taco. I ran out of time to eat it. Or bill was almost $500.00 dollars for the 11 people that showed (One child was sick) I have eaten at many different Boston Pizzas from Muskoka to London to Oshawa. Never have been disappointed...

I hate leaving bad reviews but since this hasn’t been a one time thing i thought i’d share my experiences. i had one male server a few months back who was phenomenal, middle aged slender guy, 11/10 service! However i cannot say the same for the rest of the staff. A month ago i came in with my friend, the hostess seemed annoyed that we were even entering the restaurant and when we said we didn’t care where we sat, she rolled her eyes and was making a face when she thought we couldn’t see. that same night, our server just didn’t seem to have an interest in actually serving just grabbing orders and it was dead in the restaurant. She was only nice when we were paying, shocker. I just came in with my boyfriend this week and the service was worse than last time!! Our server spoke maybe 20 words to us MAX, wasn’t friendly and just had an all around bad attitude that was impacting our date. I even bussed her table for her almost completely and not even a smile (i’m a server as well so i’m trying to be understanding but come on not one smile?) The only reason i still go to this location is for the food. These are just the recent bad interactions but the one manager there is extremely rude to not just me but other people who i’ve talked to about this location . i’m extremely surprised this place has so many...
