Fries R US — Restaurant in St. Thomas

Like to get fresh cut fries once per year. Be going here for years and the service and food was always good. Not so much this time. Picked up the family size fry and headed to my elderly mothers as we thought we would share. Unfortunately when we got there and opened up the bag the fries were dark and burnt tasting. Not sure why they would serve these fries. Obvious the grease was long overdue to be changed. First bad experience here but we will not return. Simply looking at the fries they would have known that there was an issue. They decided to serve them anyway. I’m sure we weren’t the only disappointed customers that day. WARNING: DO NOT BUY A GREEK SALAD!!!!! I am highly dissatisfied with this food truck. They claim to have a greek salad, but what you get for 7.50+HST is all lettuce with just a few teeny-tiny bit of tomatoes that would equal less than 1 half of 1 tomato slice.. The also use bottled greek salad dressing which is a huge no-no They should take the salad off the menu. The GYRO was also gross. Ordered a large poutine and the fries were barely cooked and still pretty white, very minimal cheese and gravy on top. I went back to ask for more gravy on the bare fries as there were a lot left with no toppings and the lady said 'no, ill give it to you on the side'. She put a tiny amount (about a third of a side of gravy container) in a cup. When I was walking away she said 'and don't put your container in my garbage'...? Not sure what that was about. Overall not impressed with the food but more unimpressed with the customer service and lack of detail...
