Elgin Centre — Local services in St. Thomas

This mall is an abolsute dive. .ppl saying this and that about the owners like they care but u know they are just there for a quick buck. That mall will get renovated and they will sell it asap ! While the parking lot looks like the moon with craters and pot holes 12 inches deep EVERYWHERE. Outdated everything beside business that have upgraded. This mall had store like ... the doll store. And the sports card store. .who ever gave this 5 stars was probably born in St t and never been to a real mall. Metro is run by a buncha old ladies that hate there job but don't wanna give up there gravy union job at 20 something an hour.the movie theater??? Lmao. One look at it and I don't need to say anything more. Mall owner can't even afford to by maintenance equipment or clothing for there guys. Make them drive around on a lawn tractor from 1960 and buy there own coats. . Cheap cheap cheap.i love all these ppl saying new management 8s doing better and they are fixing parking lot soon. Yea parking lot was due for repair 5 years ago they are doing it now because there will be liability issues with 15 inch pot holes everywhere. Yes great job mall way to revitalize stuff/wait till the last minute. The lady who is head of management is useless and denied working at the wall when she fully uniformed in mall clothing. She acts like she owns the place instead of managing it. Young maintenace worker have been egar and willing to help ppl. Few of the older guys clearly hate there job. Can't even clean a washroom but claim they do and sign off. When I called one out 30 mins after he signed a clean washroom and didn't fill soap and thing was filthy nobody wants to take responsibility. Now the signature on sign off are scribbled because they to lazy to do it properly and don't want to be responsible.only ppl giving this place a review of anything positive has to be an employee at this mall trying to...

Some REALLY creepy and wierd people Pretty scary not gonna lie and the stores are flops. Like ardenes and Bluenotes god awful quality. There are old people stores which are really sweet and cute but I won't see my self shopping there since its meant for people 50 years older then me, and its cool they have subway and dollarama. The metro is nice if you really need to go somewhere close but its over priced and not alot of things. they have kumon and fitness if your interested, The giant tiger sucks though. And some really cool stores where you'd head into but never buy. Its not very light in there and the workers are actually normal people other then the customers which make me uncomfortable' The light is dark and most things are rip-offs But sherrys worker seems super sweet and the other granny stores are also. They have a asian tree store (forgot the name of the trees) and the worker was really experienced and gave us really good descriptions.

OVERALL....

Good:👽 some sweet workers, And interesting stores, food is amazing for 1 store

Bad:👺 SUPER CREPPY PEOPLE, It's dark, depressing, Bad and odd stores, barely anything good, boring, smelt funky because of the people there......

I was at the mall today I am appalled at the customer service. First she was late to open and then could really care less if it was open or not. She had the worse scowle on her face I have ever seen. She finally opened the door not a hello or nothing r em after I greeted her. I told her she had a terrible attitude said she was going to call someone told me to get out!!!! For what I don’t know then I proceeded to look around told me to leave as she was not selling me nothing all this happening in front of my 9 year old grandson. I told her she had no respect for a senior and she said oh u people think u r so entitled . I was shocked said again she was not selling me nothing so get out. I looked around the mall for help and no one is around to help me. I have never in my 69 years of living in st thomas have been spoken to like this.
