I have to add photos later. I really loved everything we ordered here. And I would come here everyday If I could. Pastries were fresh and delicious! No crazy long lines like Paillard. Service was nice though they might not understand English well. Which is fine. We bought a rustic bread and got it cut to slices and we ate that everyday on this trip. All the danish pastries were wonderful. We saw so many varieties of savory pastries too bad we didn’t have room to eat more or take them with us. The coffee was the best we had in Quebec City. I wanted to visit this bakery last year visiting Quebec City but didn’t have time. This time we rented a car for a day to drive to Parc national de la Jacques-Cartier. And it was the perfect opportunity to visit Pascal Le Boulanger. This bakery is farther away from the city center and you have to have a vehicle to come here. I was surprised to see so many customers there. I guess the quality of the pastries are so good that people would make their way out here. It was a very nice morning seeing people so busy working in the bakery. It gave me a...
Read moreIf you get within 50 kilometers of Stoneham Québec, you need to make the trip to this bakery. We were on our way to Jacques Cartier National Parc from Quebec City and pulled off the highway for something quick to eat pretty much at the edge of civilization, and discovered Pascal le Boulanger. It is almost unbelievable that such a complete bakery with amazingly reasonable prices could be supported by this small town and traffic off the highway to the boreal wilderness, but one of the friendly workers told me that people come from all over; if you build it, they will come.
There is a wide selection of fresh-baked breads, pastries, and cakes. There are also a variety of sandwiches and pizzas ready to be heated instantly in convection ovens. People pour into the large modern shop continually, but you are attended to quickly by the pleasant and patient staff. There is a specialty cheese section and jars of gourmet items. You may come for toasted sandwich or pastry and coffee, but be prepared to buy plenty for...
Read moreThis is without a doubt the best boulangerie I have ever visited in my life! During our vacation near Jacques Cartier Park, we were lucky to stay just a short walk away, and every single morning we came back here for breakfast. The place is spotless, beautifully organized, and always calm — even though it’s busy with both staff and customers, everything runs so smoothly.
The pastries are outstanding: the croissants are unbelievably delicious, the sandwiches are simply perfect, and the coffee was some of the best I’ve had in years. We also loved that we could sit outside with our dogs — such a rare and wonderful option.
The staff deserve a special mention. Even though we don’t speak French, we always received kind, patient service, and there was always someone happy to assist us in English.
A huge thank you to the entire team — you truly made our trip...
