I grew up in this beautiful tourist oriented town- so many things changed throughout the years to accommodate tourist growth and also just the times. It's been tough in Stratford and im just looking in! The food service industry has become a beacon in Stratford, to accommodate the guests that can afford an over priced and well served meal next to a theater ticket. Erie Drive In has established and maintained a quality, accessible and guest oriented spot throughout my life time and in the 2.8 years since I've been to visit, nothing has changed- or needed to. Amazing 'fast styled' food, kind teens respecting the window (local jobs!) and easily some of the best quality of soft serve ice cream I've had in Canada. Kudos to the community to tasting this and keeping this business afloat over covid! Highly recommend over any soft serve available (can)county wide!!! I had a photo to post but it was just empty cones and wrappers bc we got...
Read moreSpent 60 bux there a week ago they pretty much screwed up our entire order and when I tried to call n let them know, the manager was defensive basically telling me I was the one who was wrong and defended their many errors.. very disappointed. The poutine was so dry n lacked enough gravy to even ment the cheese ordered and paid extra for dill dip for our mushrooms. And, instead. received ranch like how do u screw that up even !?!?? i have been patronizing EERIE DRIVE IN most of my adult life..I'm 52 now and was kind of shocked at they way they handled this. they never offered any kind of apology or fix or coupon ..so I doubt ill be back and I won't be recommending their place neither. There is plenty of other great eateries around town. Totally...
Read morePassed by the Harvey's and McDonalds hoping for a hidden gem in this place. It wasn't horrible. Fries are wave cut instead of straight, coleslaw was tasteless, bacon cheese burger was basic, it's $3 for one single chicken finger that was smaller than average, although it was seasoned and tested good. If you like ketchup I suggest you bring your own bottle. I ordered a large and small fry, got 3 small packets of ketchup and about 20 packets of vinegar. I like that they had umbrellas for the picnic tables and service wasn't fast, but could have been worse. This place is close to being noteworthy. They need a bit more character, quality and creativity to their offering. I hope they can figure it out. Until then, you'll find me...
