I’m giving two stars only because they offered delivered to Langdon for a reasonable fee.
We paid $65 for literally 2 stuff crust pizzas with 5 toppings each.
The pizza just isn’t worth what they are charging.
The quantity of toppings was minuscule. They hide toppings in the cheese so you can’t notice it.
The quality of meat they use is average at best. A good pizza place will rely upon pepperoni that is dry cured so that it is crispy when baked with little to no grease or oil.
Even the crust, next to no flavour, little to no crispness.
What I would not give to have a pizza chain that knows how to make proper pizza.
Comparing papa johns to legit pizza in New York or places like 550 in Las Vegas it’s just not there.
The best pizza option we have in the Calgary area is Double Zero Pizza at Chinook Mall.
I highly urge anyone to taste their pizza if you want to run your own pizza place.
You will quickly understand the quality of flour, dough mix, cheese and especially meat is paramount. Even more importantly is having a proper oven.
Pizza needs to be baked in a wood or brick style oven and most retail chains are using cheap rolling pizza ovens and they refuse to increase the temps on these ovens due to the extreme cost.
It’s not as bad as some options especially Langdon Pizza or CN Pizza, but it’s not nearly worth the inflated...
Read moreMultiple times i have had horrible customer service at this location. I have called into this store, explained the special that I was looking to order over the phone, been told that the special didn't exist, pulled up their own website, explained that I was looking directly at the special online, then was given the okay for that pricing. Customers should not need to know a franchises specials better than their own employees. This has happened to me more than once.
One time I called in, got placed on hold, then made the drive from my work (approx 10min away), arrived at the store while still on hold... and the employees were just hanging out sitting on stools talking rather than taking my order.
Now I just had the exact same issue with the special for a 1 topping large pizza (16.99), was told the order would be 20min (perfectly acceptable), drove 7 min to the store, then was told it would still be another 7 min because the employee hadn't put it in the oven yet.
The pizza here tastes good for a franchise, and the specials are a decent price... but wow, do they make it hard to be a...
Read moreWe had tried Papa John's Pizza one time years ago near sunridge mall. It was on par with Little Caesars, and we never went back. When a Papa John's opened up in Strathmore, we decided to try it once more. Why not support all businesses in our small town?!? We are so glad that we did! We have been there twice now since they opened up, and we know we will be long time customers. Mr. Gandhi and his team are fantastic! So incredibly friendly each time. The pizza has a very tasty sauce, the perfect amount of cheese, and the crust is soft, fresh, and exactly what you would want out of a pizza. We are so happy you opened up in Strathmore. Thank you for your kindness and your...
