A&W Canada — Restaurant in Summerside

This location used to be very good a year ago. Sadly the staff and management have changed and the quality of the food, environment and safety has gone down drastically. The food I had today was tasteless and had the fries very bland and tough which is a first to ever have with A&W. The mugs for the last year have never been chilled properly and are barely cold (you know it’s correctly chilled when you see bits of frost appear in the drink after pouring it)

Another issue is the staff barely speak English. I’ve had to multiple times when visiting, repeat my order fully and then they somehow get confused as well after you’ve said you want something like a teen combo.

One of the times I went to this A&W this year I injured my hand from the Men’s bathroom stall lock not being aligned properly and getting stuck in there. The same visit the toilet seat wasn’t properly attached and I almost fell off and hurt myself (this visit was roughly 2 months ago) The visit I had today I went to use the urinal and the entire bathroom was disgusting. The room smelled horrible, there was liquid all over the floor, and there was a lot around the urinal too.

Our order today also took exceptionally longer than normal when there wasn’t any one else ordering at the time, in the store or the drive thru.

All in all I would say that management needs to fix a lot of these food quality, staff quality and even more importantly safety concerns. As the misalignment of the door and issue with the men’s toilet seat not even being attached properly is baffling and is...

always enjoyed the food and service but today a worker named Jan just seemed to be on a mission to bully the other workers, when I got my order i took an order of fries back because it was supposed to be onion rings, the girl who served me said yes your right and tried to fix the issue, then Jan came along and argued with the girl that she needed to see the order receipt and kept pulling up orders that was NOT mine saying no it says fries, meanwhile the girl who served me kept telling her , no she ordered onion rings Jan then loudly tells her that she must have rang it in wrong.. after a few mins, I said can i just please get my rings ? Jan says NO not without paying the difference, the little worker again tells her no she paid for onion rings. I didn't want the little one to have to argue any further so I said well forget it my food is getting cold, a customer behind me said to Jan,, your lucky i already ordered ,Jan looked at her and said why is that, the customer said because your not giving customer service here your being a bully, Jan again said there is a difference in price we aren't just going to give them out.. I went back to my table to eat. a few minutes later over comes Jan and plunks down an order of onion rings with my order receipt saying I found the correct order so here is your onion rings. Went through the drive through got a combo asked for sprite and an extra fries was told to wait at the front door and I was like sure went to sip my drink it was a root beer and I went inside changed it and then I saw them do up my order and they forgot my fries as well. The worker that was handling me was very nice and apologetic but I could smell the weed off them. I hope my burger was cooked all the way.
