I ordered and saw 1 hour delivery time and so I called the restaurant to inquire if it is possible to change the order to pickup instead of delivery. The lady who answered said "Yes, you are Sahaj? I see that your order does not have an assigned driver yet. Yes that's no problem, I can just change that to "ready for pickup" you can come in ten minutes" I arrived and the staff said that they had made a mistake and had given my order to someone else! I had to wait there in the restaurant for an additional 30 minutes while my friends were waiting for pick up in the bus stop in the cold. They reprepared the order and were about to give it to me when the owner came out and said "No! your order was already sent to your house before you came, I cannot give this to you" I was floored, he became very aggressive and said "it is your fault, this is your mistake" I understand the correct procedure would likely have been to cancel the order and change it to a pick up order, but if your staff TELLS me to come to the restaurant to pick it up. And then upon coming they don't tell me right away what had happened, they make an excuse and they say it was their mistake and make me wait 30 minutes when I am in a hurry and I tried to arrange a way to streamline the process under their guidance. And after all that they get angry at me! I was acting completely under their direction! I understand that Uber tries to manage the communication and I should have used the platform, but the restaurant should not claim to be able to make adjustments for customers that they cannot and they should not be able to treat me with such aggression when I am the inconvenienced one in this situation. They made us wait 10-15mins for freshly made samosas and out of 10 ONLY 1 samosa was edible while the rest had rotten potatoes in it which you could smell as soon as u took it out of the bag. The green chutney was as thin as water and had also turned sour and stunk once the lid was opened which is probably because it went bad like everything else. We called them once we got home and the lady said to hold on so that she could talk to the one making it. She then had the audacity to hang up and when we called back she's like they didn't do it. Apparently they were still talking to the cook(Idk if I should even be calling them cooks) and said they would call us back.
