I took my mom here, it was our first time. We just ordered the classic flavoured chicken, we were told it was just a regular batter. My mom was excited that they had cream of potato soup, so she chose that. After waiting about 3 minutes, a police officer came in and ordered himself a chicken sandwich with yam fries. He was told it would be 15-20 minutes. I asked after he finished ordering if ours was also going to take that long, her response was that they were working on ours. A young guy walked in, ordered a chicken sandwich, he seemed to be a regular. They made his order and he was sent on his way before either myself or the police officer. When we got to the car with our order, I opened my mom's soup. She took one taste of it, and it was COLD. I went back in to get it warmed up, the woman said she would get me another one. She reached into the cooler, got another cup of soup out, and put it in the microwave. After a couple of minutes, the police officer came back, his food still wasn't ready. The woman gave me the soup and said, "Is that better?" I said, "I don't know, do you have a spoon?" Well, it wasn't better. It was barely lukewarm. So I told her that no, it wasn't better. She just looked dumbfounded. "Are you sure?", she asked. I replied, "Yes I'm sure". Iexplained that soup should be warm, cozy. It should almost be too hot to eat at first. She told me she could maybe warm it up again, I told her that that would probably be a good idea. Finally, after about 2 minutes, she returned again. It was better, still not the ideal temperature that I would serve soup at. Meanwhile, police officer is still waiting for his food. The soup tasted good, the chicken was VERY greasy. The spices in the batter is not your regular fried chicken spices, there were green things in it. Very strong spice flavouring. My mom commented that she couldn't tell that we were eating chicken, because the flavouring was so strong. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't good. We won't return. The police officer got his food well after we had stated...

Major Joy Chicken offers Indian style fried chicken with amazing flavours and really tasty chicken sandwiches!
I ordered the chicken sandwhich / butter chicken poutine combo.
Butter chicken poutine was absolutely delicious. It was probably one of the best butter gravies I've had on fries...most butter chicken poutine I've had before were quite salty. This gravy is creamy and sweet which goes perfect with fries!
The chicken sandwich I ordered was also quite tasty, I ordered the smokey tandoori and it just hit the spot for me. The chicken was crispy and the portion was really good.
Atmosphere of the restaurant was really nice as well. Great lighting, comfy seating, modern and lots of space.
The only con I would say is the mens washroom was a bit cluttered, dirty and also paper towels needed a refill, but we ate here close to 1am so it was probably less staff than usual.
Overall this is a really cool spot in Surrey for some delicious Indian style KFC that closes at 5am on Friday/Saturdays.

I also got to try out their Real Mango Shake for the first time and it was absolutely delicious - with real mango chunks! We were even given a free Red Velvet Cake to try out! Thank you so much to the friendly staff at...
Read moreI've visited on a few occasions previously, but their quality of food and service recently has really left a mark for me. I particularly love the smash burger, it's perfectly seasoned and cooked with a crispy crust on the patty and the buns are soft and toasted. It's the best smash beef burger that I've tried in vancouver. I really appreciate the fact that it's also halal and open till late. This makes it very accessible.
But what really compelled me to write this review is the hospitality and kindness extended towards me in my last 2 visits by the owner. On the first occasion, she accidentally gave me a milkshake that wasn't my order and when I told her that I didn't order it, not only did she instantly apologise but since she felt bad that she had to take the milkshake away from us, she offered us a slice of their new toffee cake, which was quite delicious.
On the second occasion, the restaurant was backlogged with a bunch of orders and we had to wait for 15 minutes for 2 burgers, which is quite reasonable in my opinion, but since we had to wait longer than usual, she offered us a slice of the german chocolate cake, again. The fact that she offered us complimentary desserts on two separate incidents shows exactly why we should support such businesses. Will always recommend this place to my friends. The only way they could do better is by increasing the quantity of fries lol. She went out of her way and I really appreciate this. Thank you for...
