Seriously needs a health inspector to come and observe the workplace and employee behaviour!
Two days ago I went through the drive thru and ordered just a large mango-pineapple-banana smoothie. What I recieved at the pickup window AFTER watching THREE employees talk for over 3 minutes about personal daily topics was a medium strawberry banana smoothie.
Tonight, I went through the drive thru yet again, ordering one large mango-pineapple-banana smoothie and two McDoubles without onions or pickles due to personal allergies. I also ask for two mayo-style sauce packets on the side. Before I move on from the ordering mic stand, I was not verbally informed of my total cost of my order. I was just given silence and I moved on after 20 seconds of silence.
Despite the 6-car pile-up to pay and receive their orders, only the last window was open for transactions. At first, I presumed there aren't enough employees on shift to open both windows. Thirteen minutes later when I've reached the last window, I am not greated at all or politely asked to wait a minute. Rather, I see yet again, THREE employees just standing there, having a casual conversation about non-work-related topics. I watch my clock and 4 minutes later of more personal discussions, one of the female employees acknowledges that I am staring at her, given her poor service. She then holds her hand out for payment without telling me my total yet again. I wait until she finally says "8.96 please" (although with an impatient tone). I pay and wait another 2-3minutes before my not-very-complicated order is almost dropped on the ground before being handed to me. I was handed a small paper bag and the wrong flavoured smoothie. Fustrated, I just take the large blueberry-pomegranate smoothie instead of trying to argue with lazy employees that it is not the flavour I ordered.
I drive home (3 minutes driving time away). Once I've parked, I open the bag and unwrap one of the McDoubles. I take a bite and almost immediately feel faint, followed by a nauseous bubbling in my stomach area. Quickly, I take my allergy medication, suspecting it is an allergic reaction. I am correct as shortly after, I further take apart the burger and see a slice of pickle and loads of onion pieces. I unwrap the other McDouble and see the exact same allergen-filled burger.
Never in all my years, would I have been expecting such poor work attitude and lack of attention to simple customer requests to the extent I could have had a serious allergic reaction from a $1.39 burger! I am extremely disappointed and angered at the lack of effort demonstrated by this McDonald's establishment. I would highly advise all persons with serious or even semi-seeious allergies to avoid purchasing food from this McDonald's location. Not worth...
Read moreI visited this McDonald’s on Wednesday, July 18, 2025, and I had an absolutely terrible experience. From the moment I stepped in, I could tell the environment wasn’t great — it felt messy, disorganized, and unprofessional.
What upset me the most was the complete lack of hygiene from the staff. Not a single employee was wearing gloves while preparing food. I saw someone touching chicken nuggets with their bare hands, and another staff member adjusted her headset and immediately handled a cheeseburger — no gloves, no handwashing. That’s disgusting. Even the manager was handling things without gloves. I don’t care what the reason is — when you’re touching ready-to-eat food, there should always be a level of sanitation. This was the first time I’ve ever seen a McDonald’s staff act like this, and it was honestly disturbing.
To make things worse, the manager was extremely disrespectful. I asked her politely if she had included a spoon with my caramel sundae, and she responded rudely: “It’s in the bag.” No eye contact, no courtesy — just attitude. And when I checked, the sundae was already melted by the time it got to me. It looked like it had been sitting out and completely ignored. At that point, I didn’t even feel like eating it.
I ended up throwing away all my food. The chicken nuggets were cold, the burger tasted off, and the whole experience was so gross that I completely lost my appetite. Honestly, watching staff touch food with bare hands and seeing no one take proper precautions made me feel like I couldn’t trust anything coming from that kitchen.
This isn’t just bad customer service — this is a serious food safety issue. With the amount of people McDonald’s serves in a day, this kind of behavior could easily get someone sick. If this is what’s happening in front of customers, I can’t imagine what goes on behind the scenes. I’m seriously considering reporting this to Fraser Health, because that’s how unsanitary it felt.
This location needs a full inspection and retraining — both in basic hygiene and how to talk to customers with respect. I will never return here, and I wouldn’t recommend anyone else eat here either. McDonald’s should be better than this.

Read moreHorrible service! Waited 15 minutes in drive through at 8pm at night. When I get to front, I am asked to go around, park and wait! I waited another 10 minutes. Order finally came, I grabbed it and rushed home. The food I did get was stone cold and only two of the things we ordered were there. We tried to call and hubby was going to go back. They didn't answer the phone, claiming that they were closed. Turns out drive through was still open, they just don't answer the phones. I ended up with 5 cold over cooked nuggets. I ate a piece of toast for supper! I returned the next day and spoke with the manager. She didn't apologize and offered to give me the food. I told her I didn't want it then (9am). She said she would put it in a book and I could get it within two weeks. Nothing more after inconviniencing me by having to return 3 times. I decided to return after a week to see how they would handle things out if morbid curiosity. When I went in, I explained that the manager had put a credit in the book. She told me that they didn't have a book. I explained again what had occurred. She said, we don't have a book. I asked for a manager, she went over to speak to the manager and came back, told me that the manager had said they don't have a book. She came back and said the manager would be over. I waited 5 minutes. Another worker came over, I told her I was waiting for the manager. She asked her to come and I overheard the manager say "I am not going! I told her there was no book!) The manager walked past and cuteyed me! I continued to wait. Finally the first server I had came back and said " I told you that we didn't have a book with a coupon in it". I asked what she was talking about and reiterated my comments stating again that it was a credit for a bad order, not a coupon. She said that she understood and checked her phone, asked my name. She said ok, I have it here. She finally put in my order and I received it. No apologies, no manager connection, nothing. Totally inconvenienced me 4 times!! When I got home, the order was correct and still hot. I don't recommend this location and will not return!! Rude, ignorant and bad...
