another of my favourite to-go Japanese restaurant in Fraser Heights! They have amazing lunch/dinner bentos large enough to be shared between 2. As well, speciality sushi rolls with house signature sauces are delicious too especially their fresh sashimi and neat appetizers
We tried out a lot of the new items of the new menu on our most recent visit: the fish and chip roll, chashu miso ramen and the bbq spicy skillet. The fish and chip roll wasn't really that good, the deep fried fish in the roll was too dry.
The worst of all was the chashu miso ramen, it costed $13.95, and it made us so angry when we saw that the ramen that was served looked like it was made from japanese instant noodle, yet tasted even worse than instant noodle. The soup broth was so bland, and the noodles were exactly from an instant noodle pack.
But the crispy karaage and the deep fried agedashi tofu are definitely a must try for appetizers! The chicken is juicy on the side while crisp on the outside. a great restaurant to come with family for some delicious Korean-japanese cuisines. The staff are super friendly too

Read moreFood was actually pretty good. They've got a good selection and their Happy Hour specials are a great deal for between lunch and dinner. Unfortunately, our first time there ended up being a bad experience due to poor service after we were done eating.
We were greeted, seated, and ordered food just fine and didn't have to wait at all since we were only one of two tables at the time. We were served quickly and were pleasantly surprised at how much food the Dinner Box actually had, since it was priced similarly to other restaurants.
Once we were done eating and needed a to-go box and the bill, we couldn't see a server anywhere... For like 15 minutes. Then when we did see her, she was taking a break until we got up and left 20 minutes later.
I don't want to knock the whole restaurant for our one bad experience. We could have walked over to staff to talk to them, but that shouldn't be necessary unless it's really busy. The food and prices are surprisingly good for a neighbourhood Japanese restaurant and I'm sure the service usually is as well, especially during normal...
Read moreRestaurant is old, service is friendly, kitchen food is just okay, this review is about their sushi if it can be called so. No “red tuna” like bluefin, big eye or yellow fin, they give you pre-frozen albacore instead. When I see so called “red snapper” on my plate, I know this is gonna be a low quality restaurant with fish can’t even called sashimi. That “snapper” is farm-raised and colored tilapia which I will avoid eating even if it is cooked. The surf clam has been in the freezer long enough, it becomes dry and decolored. No yellowtail, no Uni, no Ikura, no oyster, etc. There is too much rice in their rolls because they use a rice spread robot machine. Most of rolls are filled too much cheap imitation crab meat and loaded with sugary sauce. When high quality omakase style sushi is becoming extremely popular in New York City, it minds me that there is still such low quality offering exists and still...
