Sumerian grill bbq — Restaurant in Surrey

The food was great. The service was super fast. The naans/pitta, when they bring it it's blown up like a big bubble and it slowly deflates when they set it on your table, so it's pretty hot.

We ordered the 1.5 kg mix grill. And shawarma meat with hummus. We got yoghurt and rice to go with it. The mixed grill had a big pitta under it, and it had some of the sauces/juices of the meat soaked so tasted yummy!

They have a private section where you can prebook/ reserve for a large family... all the tabletops are bright orange color. The ambience was so nice. The waitresses came a couple times to ask if we were okay and if we needed anything. Bathroom is nice, clean. The restaurant is very busy on weekends. If you going with a larger crowd between to reserve your tables, although they equally accept walk-ins. While we were there, we saw lots of take-away orders and lots of people coming in. They were all out of fries but the time we got there.

Apart from the covered private area which is a couple steps up, the rest is ground level so definitely wheelchair accessible.

Parking could be a challenge, we were lucky to get one spot. The spots full up fast and there's just a few.

Overall, nice place, good food. I would definitely recommend and go...

This review isn't so much about the food because their food is always amazing and we never issue. It's more of a frustration with the place itself. Their most popular item is the Chicken Kebsa, yet they always sell out fast on it or they don't have it ready until like 5:00 PM. For example, today, I just called them and asked them if I can order the whole chicken kabsa, a lady answered, and she asked a guy if they have some, he said yes they did, but then he came on the phone and talked to me, he said it won't be ready until 5:00 PM. I called at them at 2:40 PM. If I'm calling at that time, I'm not expecting to wait for more than 2 hours for food. So, like I stated, they need to work on that as a restaurant to make sure that they meet their customer's demands at a timely matter. They should always have their most popular dish ready so when people call and order, it's always available. If they have only one cook working, the maybe hire two cooks and so forth. I hope they can do something about this because we order from them all the time but been super disappointed the last few times due to the lack of their whole...

Stars only for the food, the service was genuinely concerning. There was only one table sat and even then, the server took forever to take out order we also ordered two cokes which never showed up until we had to mention it atleast 4 times. One of the items we ordered was called meat on hummus, mind you - the menu said shawerma meat which did not look right once it was served - we asked the server and she said it was beef, we do not eat beef due to religious reasons and asked her to change it or exchange it to which she said no, mind you it said SHAWERMA meat and when has beef ever been considered as shawerma meat...? its always only chicken or mutton, didnt even touch it and got charged anyways - server said we shouldve asked lol

she also never ever came back to us after that - we had to wave at her, a customer had to tell her that we were waving after which she went into the kitchen and did not come back for another 10 minutes and still put the machine infront of us with tip..?!?!?
