A quick dine-in planned at Royal Choice seeing the Google reviews
Not one of the best tasting Indian food except for a few handpicked items but the staff was super friendly, warm and welcoming, so kudos to them. Especially the woman at the front desk.
We ordered Batura which tasted great but the Chana masala was not the best. Mild tasting curry and Chana was over boiled making it bit more mushy than usual. That could be one of the reasons making it taste more bland. Raitha that came along with Batura tasted so good with best blend of yogurt and spices. Gulab jamun was okay okay (usually we love darker jamuns that gives an extra caramelized taste to the outer coating)
Paneer tikka masala had less cream and was more towards tangy tomato based gravy that was not enriching but the paneer was super soft so it was okay. Garlic naan tasted good but they were more thin than usual that made it crispy soon after they were exposed to air. So naan tasted like crispy papad later!! We did inform the staff but they were kind enough and willing to replace which we politely declined.
Finally the best part is the Veg Manchurian Dry! These veg fried dumplings tasted the best and in fact we had all other dishes mixing this so overall the food was good. Should visit again specifically for these...
Read moreTried their food the first the time months ago and the chowmein was good. Then we dined in and their food quantity was very low compared to their price. The food taste is not that good either, it’s average. Their one sabji is like 15$ which does not translate to the quantity or the taste of the food itself.
We also ordered spring rolls at the time and they literally were the ones I have at home which are the frozen ones from Walmart. The size, look, feel, width, length, the filling was the same. So disappointing. Asked the server to make spring rolls spicy and she said they come in a mixture and they are already made they can’t make them spicy.
The customer service itself was very, disappointing. The owner seems nice but the girl who was serving us came across as rude and like she didn’t want to help us.
Tried their paranthas and asked them to make it extra spicy, they were the most bland paranthas ever. I would not recommend this place. If you are looking to get authentic and tasty Indian food which is also not priced like their restaurant is in white rock or Vancouver, try swagat indian restaurant on 152 and...
Read moreWe ordered the chicken pakora to enjoy with our whisky .. first it didn’t look like chicken pakora and on top the chicken was like chewing rubber. The green chutney was supposed to be spicy but it was sweet like red chutney. Totally waste of money. I called to complain and the guy on the phone said he’s gonna confront the chef for that.thats it ???? End of the day who loose?? The customer We threw it in garbage Now Listen so called Royal choice -: You guys take it for granted coz you think it’s Indian customer where else they gonna go but if I love to eat from the kitchen that’s operated by my own people/community then I have the right to complain about the quality and quantity of it as I paid my hard earned money for it. I m not the one who just put the review for very little things. If I was dining in I could have just bring the food back to the counter and ask to make it correct in case you think you can get...
