A&W Canada — Restaurant in Swift Current

Stopped at this location on a long road trip. Hours after finishing my meal I am leaving this review in hopes that management will treat their staff better. There was one man in particular who was condescending and rude to the employees in front of the customers. He pulled the headset off of one of the employees without asking her permission, while she was at the front counter on cash, and made her do cleaning tasks instead while he continued on cash. He also questioned an employee for just simply carrying around cleaning fluid, and also told the staff that upper management was unhappy with their work, all loud and clear for customers to hear. I would hope that after management reads this that they learn enough respect to critique their staff in private, not to belittle them. All of the employees looked very unhappy in the working environment and I empathize with them dearly. If I worked in that environment I would have quit immediately. The...

I ordered the all Canadian Breakfast (eggs over easy, brown toast) with a large coffee. The coffee is good. The Breakfast is another story. EW. I basically had a plate of grease. I have had this All Canadian Breakfast many, many times at many different locations and almost always enjoy it. Not today!! For the first time, I did not finish my all Canadian Breakfast, not because I was full, but because it was gross. My eggs were medium not over easy like I requested, which I could have lived with if not for the fact that they were so greasy I could barely eat them. The bacon was extra crispy...almost to the point of being burnt and extra greasy. The sausages, also extra greasy. The toast...barely toast. It was barely cooked, soft (almost soggy) and you guessed it, greasy. The tomatoes were ok. So if you want a decent coffee or are hungover and looking for that greasy breakfast cure, then this is your place, otherwise, I'd steer clear....

Went through drive thru tonight. There was a new girl working drive thru window. Order got messed up, no big deal it happens. But how the adult female working treated the new teenaged worker after mistake was made…wow…don’t talk to you’re co-workers like that. And don’t do it in front of customers! Then after she treated her co-worker like dirt, she tried to give me food, that was given to another customer, who we watched rummage through the bag, touching all food to. Sorry but I don’t want food that’s been handled by strangers.

At one point when the adult female worker walked away from drive thru window, I did reassure the young worker that it wasn’t her fault and it’s all good.

Don’t belittle your co-workers like that! No one is perfect, mistakes happen. The customer (me) was okay with the mistakes, why do that to her in front of people?? The only parts that upset me were how that young girl was treated and trying to give...
