25-minute walk from the cruise port is this small oddly shaped long park. Not really fair to judge a park on a rainy foggy day, but it was lacking in some typical park amenities such as water fountains, bench seating, garbage cans, and most importantly public restrooms (did see one Porta potty). Some of the steam water wasn't clean and grass was ready for a cut, but still overall looked nice and sure it is appreciated by residents, particularly on a nice sunny day when the amphitheatre has music.

I came along with my friends. This is an amazing place to stroll. It is very clean, attractive and a resting place for our minds. There's a large pond that you can walk around. It's a pretty good place with ducks, birds and historical monuments. I love parks since they help me every time and since I have many unforgettable memories connected to them. It was special for me to come back here. I loved it❤️.

A beautiful city park in the heart of Sydney with paved walking paths surrounding large ponds with fountains and featuring a splashpad, amphitheatre, play equipment for young children and picnic benches in the shade of trees.

Beginning in 2004, coinciding with the King’s Road realignment and the start of construction on “The Wentworth” condominiums, renovations on the lower pond of Wentworth Park began. The renovations included an improved, more natural looking shoreline, improved pathways, monument restorations, a new elevated gazebo overlooking this section of the park, new fountains, and a new pedestrian underpass under King’s Road as part of a larger plan to connect the park to the Sydney Boardwalk on one side and Rotary Park on the other.

Phase two began in 2009 which consisted of several renovations to the upper pond of the park. These upper pond renovations included improved and more natural looking shoreline along the pond, a new playground, improved pathways, a new pedestrian crossing of the upper pond, and restoration of the park’s band shell which has been an important landmark in the area for generations. The culverts which Wentworth Creek flows through were also upgraded in this phase.

The band shell restoration also served to bring entertainment back to the park, a location which, in the past, hosted local concerts, small festivals, and dance recitals, among other things. Given the park’s prime location in downtown Sydney, the revitalization went a long way towards making the area a more vibrant place to gather,...

This is one of my favourite local spots to walk, day or night ! In the daytime theres usually some activity going on, and children playing at the playground . Evenings are sooo nice ! Lights in the small fountains scattered throughout the brook, great lighting on the walkway. It's not too dark, nor too bright. Theres places to sit along your walk as well ! Great for an evening stroll If you dont feel like walking any real...
