The Crown Cafe & Bar — Restaurant in Sydney

Ordered room service. When it arrived the food was cold. I tasted each item on the Munichie Platter for Two ($21). All tasted disgusting and as if it was microwaved; not deep fried as advertised. When I called down to change my order as this was ridiculous. They asked, what I'd like as a replacement. I replied the 6oz Centre Cut Striplion ($18) as it was cheaper than my original meal. She replied well you've already paid for it and tasted the meal so we cannot exchange it for something else. (Why ask what I'd like to replace it with if you'll refuse) I replied don't you have to taste something in order to validate whether you like it or not. On top of that the food was cold. She advised me she was going to "talk to the kitchen". When she returned she said sorry the Striploin is an expensive item. They refused to exchange; they did not give an option for a cheaper meal replacement. This has been the worst experience. Now I'm forced to find another restaurant...

Good spot to come in for the morning. Breakfast was made surprisingly quick. Our server was the older woman, I can’t say enough about her. She was very sweet, working under pressure with ease, cleaning each table as guests walked in and providing the best service to my table as well as others. Her hard work didn’t go unnoticed. She definitely deserves a raise!!

Seemed short staffed because we initially thought it was only her working until other servers came out after a busy rush which made it upsetting to see that ALL tables needed to be cleaned while others waited.

Tip for next time, have your servers out helping when a rush is happening instead of leaving one server do it all- it’s tough!

Had a very sweet evening. Great food, warm service and beautiful ambience with some good live music. Thanks to our sweet server, LeeAnn... She was very friendly with prompt service and regularly checking at our table if we needed anything. Missed to ask the singer his name; but he sang some nice songs beautifully. Overall look and feel of the place was nice and clean. Food was yum... We had ordered the French Onion Soup, Chicken Wings, Steak Sandwich, Steak and Egg plant Parmesan for the veg option... Loved every bit of it... the soup itself was quite filling. But beware, not a pocket friendly menu; so visit only if u have a heavy...
